I just saw it. It still felt like a prequel to me. I watched it with low expectations but I still managed to enjoy it. Some parts seemed a little rushed, and some times they would explain something and it completely seemed like they were only trying to explain it to the idiot audience.

If I made the movie, then at the very end after the red matter was destroyed it would show how things were supposed to be for the last 10 minutes.instead of continuing. Like in the Voyager ep "Year of Hell".

Cho and Penn played uber-talented young people dogged by society's perception of them. Cho played an investment banker that's good at math and low on courage, while Penn played an over-the-top medical student looking for a good time. Now, Cho does math calculations navigating a starship, and Penn was a full-fledged doctor, and is now the face of asian PR for the current administration.

Seems like a logical progression to me.

It's not so much technique but perhaps nerves. I mean, how would you act if you were thrust in to a room with a camera to talk to an actor that you're really excited about? Blunty is still fairly new to this sort of thing and with that taken in to consideration I think he did a great job here.

Yes, because they've been doing it for longer, which was the main point of my initial comment. Besides, you act as if doing one interview suddenly makes you a master interviewer, but that simply isn't true. Blunty's maybe done what, six or seven real interviews? I'd say that he's doing a great job considering that he isn't a particularly experienced interviewer.
