I WOULD smoke if I didn't have asthma. I just think it's a cool cliche way to relax. Seriously. That fact and any implications of it does not ruin my life... or annoy anyone else because I don't tell my doctor and I don't bitch about it. My life is better than that. I know people who literally have a smoke, like, quarterly. This is because their adults and can enjoy one of life's little luxuries without becoming an addict. Just another opinion. I really like the video foamy, keep it up!
@sparkeykid64 It's different with everyone. My father has been smoking for 50 years, my mother for 30. Neither of them have anything wrong with them when it comes to smoking, and neither do I (and that's including my own 7 years of smoking, plus all the years of so-called second-hand smoke). I actually don't have any addiction, and can get off an on whenever I want. You may not beleive that, as all kinds of people have said that, but in honest truth, I went out and bought a pack when I turned eighteen. I smoked it over the course of a few weeks and didn't buy another pack for around two months. It's not hard. It's ALL ABOUT YOUR WILL. I smoke, I like it. I DO NOT SMOKE ALL DAY EVERY DAY. Moderation is key.

My uncle used to smoke, my stepdad used to smoke, and my mom used to smoke. They all quit. But they couldn't do it cold turkey. Except for my uncle, they both had obstacles to pass and mood swings are involved just like the withdrawl of any drug.
But you know what? I WAS supportive. Because if I wasn't, they wouldn't quit and wouldn't get healthy.
This "don't give a sh*t" attitude is rather selfish when they're actually trying.

Smoke bothers me...when I was in 5th grade about...4 years ago,Kids would tell me that I smelled like smoke...I didn't think so but apparently I did.My dad smokes(Yes smokes as in he STILL does) a lot so that was the reason they'd say it.I have no clue if I still do but if so,I'm glad my friends can keep their mouths shut about it...

my great grandma is exactly like that shes 73 and cant live without a breathing machine when i lived with her for 4 months shed quit on and off when she couldnt get a fix she would tell me how worthless i was compare me to my kiss ass cousin saying she took care of her better she was even acussing me of stealing her medicine and called the cops it kept going on and on and on until she was sent to a nursing home and i finally told her quit ur bitchin and choke on a cigarate i regret nothing

My dad smokes. One time he had to go to the hospital because of it. He promised me on his hospital bed that he would quit. 3 weeks later there was cig in his hand. Mind, that I was pissed the fuck off about threw away his promise like a dick, but I respected his decision. So foamy's right. It's their choice, but don't be an asshole and say your gonna quit and 2 days later your puffing up likes there's no tomorrow. =)
My friend used to smoke. When she met me, she had to stop because I'm serverely allergic to smoke. She and I burried her cigarettes under the tree where we met. She never picked up another cigarette again.
I tried to quit failed, so now I'm moving on to the electric smokes no smell not all the bad shit and I can fall asleep with it in my hand even smoke it in the shower while holding a pot of flowers :D
My Dad smokes (A pipe though, so he's pretty classy). I don't mind the smell that much, and even though my mum despises it, it isn't a problem.
He doesn't moan about trying to quit- he knows that he "shouldn't" smoke, but he doesn't bother to even try and quit because he knows he can't. He just enjoys his occasional smoke to help him wind down. He isn't an addict, but he likes it and it helps him, so that's cool with me.
Now, the people I have a problem with, are fucking chain smokers man! Eugh.

Ha ha, my brother started at age 12, and one day, when he was 16 he tolled me, "You know, this is my last one.". He hasn't touched another cigarette since, and his friends smoke around him frequently.
Then there is the third kind of quitter, where they say they have quit but want to "bum a smoke" every 5 minutes... They really havent quit smoking, they just quit buying their own.
Both of my parents smoke, and I don't mind as long as I don't smell it, but because they smoke, the smell gets on my clothes. I'm always taunted by lies that I'm the smoker (not true, I can't stand the shit). Hell my choir teacher publicly humiliated me by calling me out asking "Do you smoke? You smell, you should wear perfume." Wow. Fucking wow. I quit choir this year because of it. I don't blame my parents at all though. It's their choice.

@EverlastingCC that fucking sucks. It's especially sad that people have to be so negative about smokers that you get harassed just for smelling like it. My best friend lives with 2 smokers (and another 2 only moved out a year and a half ago), and anytime I go hang out with him, I always smell like cigarette smoke by the time I leave, even if I only hang out in his room, away from the smokers. I don't mind smokers myself, or the act, but that smell SUCKS.
@EverlastingCC I have a similiar issue, a lot of my relatives and my mother smokes excessively so often times my clothes smell like cigarette smoke as well.

LOL i'm a smoker myself, and the "stink of smoke" only stays on your clothes if you don't wash them everyday. really? maybe it was your body odor and nor your parents smoking. there's ways to get around the smell completely. take a tip from underage smokers, they'll tell you how to get rid of it.

Most smokers i know smoke as a stress relief. Yeah, cool story, bro. You know what I do for stress relief. I either shoot virtual aliens on my Xbox 360 or I just beat up my punching bag. I don't even see why people smoke, it's the most common cause of lung cancer, and you can score it just by breathing while around people who are smoking at that time. I've quite twice so far myself. First time for two years, and just quit again. Shit gets too expensive after a while and I can use that $40 a month for other things that are more important.

Theres this one jackass who cant sit through a full class (its a fucking hour and 15 minutes) without getting up and going for a smoke. Worst part is he races back in reeking of it (Im allergic) and then breathes all over me while asking what he missed. I have told him to fuck of and not to sit near me after he smokes but he thinks its funny or some shit....
Anywho, point is he is inconsiderate and apparently so weak that 30 min is his limit for going without a smoke.
My grandma used to be a two pack a day smoker back until the early 90's. Then 1992 came around, and my brother was born. She decided she wanted to live to see her grandchildren grow up, and also didn't want to hurt them when she babysat.
She quit cold turkey, no patches, pills, gum or other "helpful" drugs.
That's the sign of a strong willed person right there.

What really pisses me off is there is this chick that comes into the liquer store I work at for a second job and has a brain tumor and is going through Kemo. She still smokes. It's mind breakingly nuts.
I'm a smoker, like the taste, passes the time when waiting for the bus and am reasonable and don't bother any non-smoker when or where I decide to light up. I'm sure that for every cigarette I DON'T smoke, I will get my daily doses of carcinogens one way or another, so I it doesn't really matter to me. I'll die anyway with the knowledge I did what I wanted to do, as little as those things appear to be.
I'm sure alot of people have heard about the electric cigarettes, right? I've seen tons of posters and crap in gas stations. I say to my mom, "Hey, why don't you get an electric cigarette?" She says that's a good idea. We go and look it up. Online, we read that it is illegal in the USA or something like that. Wth?

Everyday my mom says she's gonna get those electric cigarettes and quit but she never does. I have to watch a movie with her for 3 hours with nicotine blowing in my face. I try to tell her to stop and she says she will then pick up another pack. Her father says anything about it she blows a fucking gasket. I know she's had a 'hard' life but she needs to find some other way to relive her stress, her breath is absolutely horrible. She does not get any kind of treat.

My dad smokes. One time he had to go to the hospital because of it. He promised me on his hospital bed that he would quit. 3 weeks later there was cig in his hand. Mind, that I was pissed the fuck off about threw away his promise like a dick, but I respected his decision. So foamy's right. It's their choice, but don't be an asshole and say your gonna quit and 2 days later your puffing up likes there's no tomorrow. =)

My Dad smokes (A pipe though, so he's pretty classy). I don't mind the smell that much, and even though my mum despises it, it isn't a problem.
He doesn't moan about trying to quit- he knows that he "shouldn't" smoke, but he doesn't bother to even try and quit because he knows he can't. He just enjoys his occasional smoke to help him wind down. He isn't an addict, but he likes it and it helps him, so that's cool with me.
Now, the people I have a problem with, are fucking chain smokers man! Eugh.

Both of my parents smoke, and I don't mind as long as I don't smell it, but because they smoke, the smell gets on my clothes. I'm always taunted by lies that I'm the smoker (not true, I can't stand the shit). Hell my choir teacher publicly humiliated me by calling me out asking "Do you smoke? You smell, you should wear perfume." Wow. Fucking wow. I quit choir this year because of it. I don't blame my parents at all though. It's their choice.

@EverlastingCC that fucking sucks. It's especially sad that people have to be so negative about smokers that you get harassed just for smelling like it. My best friend lives with 2 smokers (and another 2 only moved out a year and a half ago), and anytime I go hang out with him, I always smell like cigarette smoke by the time I leave, even if I only hang out in his room, away from the smokers. I don't mind smokers myself, or the act, but that smell SUCKS.

My friend used to smoke. When I moved to the town I'm currently in, and met her, she smoked. I'm highly allergic to any kind of smoke (and alcohol) so the next day she hands me her cigarettes and lighter and says "help me bury these."

Most smokers i know smoke as a stress relief. Yeah, cool story, bro. You know what I do for stress relief. I either shoot virtual aliens on my Xbox 360 or I just beat up my punching bag. I don't even see why people smoke, it's the most common cause of lung cancer, and you can score it just by breathing while around people who are smoking at that time. Two of them were smoking! one of them saw me coming and turned his back towards me in consideration for me; the non smoker. That guy is not so bad... but the other guy seriously went out of his way to blow that stuff in my face and try to get me addicted to second hand smoke!! GAH!!! So, I inhaled just enough to trigger my allergic reaction to nicotine and lets just say that he needed new pants and shoes.

My grandma used to be a two pack a day smoker back until the early 90's. Then 1992 came around, and my brother was born. She decided she wanted to live to see her grandchildren grow up, and also didn't want to hurt them when she babysat.
She quit cold turkey, no patches, pills, gum or other "helpful" drugs.
That's the sign of a strong willed person right there.

I'm a smoker, like the taste, passes the time when waiting for the bus and am reasonable and don't bother any non-smoker when or where I decide to light up. I'm sure that for every cigarette I DON'T smoke, I will get my daily doses of carcinogens one way or another, so I it doesn't really matter to me. I'll die anyway with the knowledge I did what I wanted to do, as little as those things appear to be.

Everyday my mom says she's gonna get those electric cigarettes and quit but she never does. I have to watch a movie with her for 3 hours with nicotine blowing in my face. I try to tell her to stop and she says she will then pick up another pack. Her father says anything about it she blows a fucking gasket. I know she's had a 'hard' life but she needs to find some other way to relive her stress, her breath is absolutely horrible. She does not get any kind of treat.
