You can tell Ian McKellen listened to videos like this, because he emphasizes the same words and copies the same way of speaking that J.R.R. Tolkien did.
It just occurs to me. Do you think the many different rings represent the various forms of government? And perhaps the one ring is the true nature of all government, the real master. The ring is noted for its ability to corrupt and being an allure to men who would think they could use it for good or for their own means, though through them it always commits evil. What do you all think?
@ThomasJeffersonMan I doubt it. He tended to get a tad offended when his work was was compared to our world. That's a really interesting thought, though! What forms of goverment would the 3, 7, and 9 repersent?
@jroche420 look, you're obviously just confused. Maybe you didn't even know there were books written, but J.R.R Tolkien DID write them, if you listen to the commentary on the extended edition of the Lord of the Rings, Peter, Fran and Phillipa constantly mention "Professor Tolkien" and "Tolkien". You don't have to act like such an ass, this is something you are severely uneducated about, and Peter Jackson has never taken any credit for the books because HE DID NOT WRITE THEM.
@jroche420 Dude are you kidding me? Tolkien was the first to write about The Lord of the Rings in the 40's and 50's!!!!! And Peter Jackson's films(not to say that they are great, they are awesome films) came out in the early 2000's!! That's a little while after, don't you think? Please don't take that personally, just trying to educate and clear a magnificent author and creator's name.
@jroche420 Dude, JRR Tolkien is not accepting awards because he is DEAD. He died in 1973. Even ask Peter Jackson, he will say that JRR Tolkien created The Lord of the Rings.
@jroche420 Congratulations, you win the prestigious "Shithead of the Century" award. Come out of that Gollum cave in the mountain! The books were written in 1954 and 1955 by J.R.R. Tolken, and are presigious examples of fantasy fiction. Tolkien died in 1973, so there's no way he would be standing up for any awards now. God, it amazes me how the human race can still produce people like YOU.
You are right. People are stealing material all the time.
Did you hear the news? Apparently, there is some unknown dude who claims to having written Beowulf.
Isn't that pathetic? Horrendously pathetic? I mean. We all know Graham Baker originally directed Beowulf in 1999, as a Science-Fiction/Fantasy mixture.
Also. There is this Jesus dude. He is nowhere near as good as James Caviezel . But he claims to be the first and only prophet ever to have been crucified by the Romans.
