connect your ipod and click on where it says summary then click on "Manually Manage Music And Videos" and then click on where it says devices look for your ipod's movies and then just right click them and delete them.

no, you can sync your own music onto iTunes, he was just showing you how to do it if you wanted to. BUT, you have to have a special card (usually at checkouts like target, bestbuy, etc.) called an iTunes card that you can buy songs for 99 cents, videos/shows for 1.99, and movies for 9.99. so, no, you dont have to buy music.
