It never occur to me Brian Orser's voice was high pitched. I heard his interviews and was so impressed with his no-nonsense style of coaching. (check out his fascinating interviews on NBC Olympics website)

His voice is rather sweet, friendly and musical. Certainly no pupil of his will doze off during his sessions.

It's hangul, the Korean text.

Basically, 마이클 is the standard Korean spelling of Michael. However, 마익흘 is kind of an attempt to Koreanize the name further. All Korean names are derived from Chinese characters (and each one means something), and 마익흘 can be assigned Chinese characters.
