  • Have fun in your Prius and GL getting parts when (like you said) WW3 happens cause Toyota isn't American :D

  • @phantasydeejay - Good luck finding gasoline to drive anywhere in a Hummer with or without parts when its 20 bucks a gallon.

  • Where did you get 9 mpg. And you environmentalists are so pathetic. How many people have hummers, compared to trucks like the Toyota Tundra, Silverado, F-series, etc that gets around the same MPG as a hummer? Any truck that has a V8 is going to get similar fuel economy. Not to mention how much pollution the Prius causes in its Production stage. Those mining operations for nickel foam batteries for the prius causes acid rain and far more ozone depletion. Dumbass liberal tree hugging hippies

  • @llamaslyr It's called a symbol-- look it up.

  • @obscenegrace2003 No shit. Where is your answer to my question? It's called critical reading and comprehension. You can't look that up. Go back to school.

  • @llamaslyr Answer your question? You mean about MPG? Or did you want me to tell you exactly how many people have Hummers compared to Tundra, Silverado and F-Series trucks? The fact is, I did answer your question. The reason why the ad focuses on the Hummer is that it's a powerful symbol of American excess and our preoccupation with affluence.

  • @obscenegrace2003 Answer the question overall. How does posing an incorrect fuel economy (over-exaggerated) and attacking a minority of large truck drivers solve the larger environmental problem? Take a look at the number one sold car for the "Cash for Clunkers Program": Toyota Tundras. The ad for this Hummer attacks Hummer owners and no one else. People will still purchase large trucks with V8 engines, as long as HUMMER is not written on the front.

  • @llamaslyr From what I gather from reading testimonies from actual owners, 9.5-12 MPG is what one can expect from a H2 owner, so that not much of an exaggeration. Furthermore, this means your comparison to Tundra and the others is hardly justified since the Tundra can get up to 18 MPG and the new F-Series diesels get over 20.

  • @obscenegrace2003 From actual Toyota Tundra forums, I've been getting the numbers 12mpg city and 17mpg highway, which is very similar to an H2 (11-12, 14-16). And take a look at vehicles that boast a ridiculous fuel economy (prius, insight, etc) all damage the environment in other ways. Ex. The prius's manufacture requires mining of nickel for the batteries. This nickel is shipped from canada to europe, then china, then japan, and then back to the US.

  • I wish I was rich enough to buy a H2 Hummer and impress my girlfriend with it. I know some people say that gas is going to run out but I dont believe it. We have has gas for hundreds of years and we will have gas for hundreds of more years. Also Global Warming would be neat. There is nothing wrong about a year round summer.

  • This actually sort of makes me want to buy one, that's a fucking badass commercial.

  • If I were a greenie driving a Hybrid car, it seems I would need a Hummer to get my ass out of the glaicer flood water coming ever so swiftly from the northern hemisphere. Maybe help rescue a drowning Polar Bear or Caribou on the way to higher ground. I mean carbon emissions are the last thing on your mind when you got to get to a safe place to breathe, away from all those erupting volcanoes due to the sun softening the earths crust, right?? I wonder if God is going to need "Carbon Credits"???
