This song says exactly what I feel right now. I have listened to it so many times in the past 4 months since my husband of almost 28 years died. I work downtown, and when Im walking to work in the mornings listening to this song...... It hits me so hard sometimes. Thanks Roger for singing this song along with all of your other great songs.
My 2 year backpack journey ended in the Bahamas in 1973 and I was lying sick with gastroenteritis listening to this song. I was 25 - it was time to grow up.
1973 seems so long ago and far away ... because it was . Get a grip , people ! The sun is gonna come up again tomorrow , make the most of it while you still can . We all have heartache , we all have sorrow ...we all also have a few ( if lucky ) good times ...dwell on those memories . Not unlike the govt's ploy that 97 degrees " feels like " 107 ( with the heat index ) .... NOPE ! 97 feels like 97 ...come on people , you are being spoon fed a bunch of bullshit . STAND UP & SCREAM " I'M ALIVE " !
In 1973, I forgot that my friend double blotted the Impeach Nixons and so took 500 instead of 250. This song had more phsychological input in my life than any amount of therapy could have. I realized that my father was never going to love me the way that I wanted him to, and I experienced a moment of great emotional freedom from expectation and blame. Twenty years later when I was able to say Dad everyone was doing the best they could do at the time. Thank you Roger and ceeceerider
@hschmc ... my father died suddenly few yrs a go. I was alone with him the morning he passed away in his hospital room. I hold his hand said what I so wanted to said to him. I just hope he heard me because he never recover conciousness!
omigod fantastic...its really a hard life..felt this since i first heard this great song..without your love is my fave song of daltrey tho..plan to name my next son to this guy..my sons nem wer dylan & geldoff
love this song ceecee thanks / seems no one has time now days does it , brings chills to my spine, and brings back painfull and sad memories of days gone bye
reminds me of good old days back in the early 70s when rog use to get in the back bar of the old kinking-donkey pub in burwash just a few hundred yards from his sussex pile, and make us locals happy just being near the great man--long may he reign-god bless you rog and heather

The best voice in Rock music by far... Roger Daltrey sounds wonderful! He make my skin tingle all over with that amassing and unique voice.
