  • I have only a question: this live album was recorded before Live in Leipzig or after???

  • I'm wondering why Euro and Necro decided to tune down to C#. Strange.

  • mayhem's guitarist made stew out of dead's brain and he made a necklace out of dead's skull fragments.

  • This is a lot better recording than live in liepzig. They performed the songs better. But, my only problem is I just can't bear the cover, especially while know the intentions and state of mind euronomous while photographing it.

  • @97Grimsta I understand what you mean, but that is one of the best album covers ever. You can see his brain, how cool is that?

  • RIP DEAD!

  • more than any beatles album? hard to believe since the beatles are certainly more mainstream.

  • @kevenzz mayhem is better though. beatles are just mainstream faggot bullshit! lol

  • @theshadowofmetal its not like they set out to become mainstream. nor did they try to sell out. shit just happens sometimes, whether you like it or not. btw, Mayhem could be considered mainstream black metal. more people listen to them than the entirety of black metal. *ducks to hide from thrown objects by angered ravenous fans*

  • @RichardIsAlive what about cof or abigail williams? if you consider those black metalish. surely those are way more popular than the true mayhem.

  • @TheInfiniteNine cradle of filth isn't necessarily considered black metal, because its REALLY overproduced. *ducks again*

  • @RichardIsAlive mayhem's latter stuff is kinda overproduced. does that make mayhem not necessarily considered black metal? :/

  • @theshadowofmetal lol. Not to give people a bad impression, but you can't get rid of more than 75 percent of a band and say its the same band. new mayhem isn't mayhem. sorry.

  • @RichardIsAlive yes. BUT are the still black metal? :/

  • @RichardIsAlive yeah they arent really though i guess they can have somewhat of inspiration from it. The point is that those bands are probably more well known than mayhem.

  • @TheInfiniteNine well in that you are correct. but only because most kids in my generation have their heads stuck up core band's asses and if not then they typically listen to just the brim of the new black metal, thrash metal, death metal and prog metal. (IE: COF, Abigail Williams, Fueled By Fire, Violator, TBDM[ick], and Dream Theater) not to say I don't like half of those bands, but point is have no structure on what is black metal.

  • @RichardIsAlive yeah i agree with you 100% there.

  • @TheInfiniteNine I'll randomly find kids that know about grotesque, venom, mayhem, possessed, exhumed, dissection and shit but they'll turn out to be EXTREME potheads and i just think damn... you're wasting your intelligence, man...

  • @RichardIsAlive haha i agree on that too. I've done pot myself a couple of times but that was years ago, i learned that it was just a dumb thing to do in the end.

  • @TheInfiniteNine mary jane's more of a recreationally occasional thing. atleast to me. twice maybe a thrice a year I'll smoke a little. I'd never make it habitual like I do smoking cigs though. like i said, wasting intelligence.

  • @RichardIsAlive the thing you say about pot can also be said about cigs. cigs damage the brain like weed and it also fucks up the lungs.

  • @theshadowofmetal supposedly there is no hard evidence actually (I might be wrong, I'm quoting my brother's research project) that weed even kills your brain cells. If it does so though regardless there's hard evidence out now that brain cells can be grown *naturally* with omega-3s (the old belief being that once they die, they don't come back) and cigs (though in the nightshade family) only kill brain cells through carbon dioxide. smoking like a normal person and not over inhaling prevents it.

  • @RichardIsAlive i'd like to point out that i know about these bands and i am into old school metal and that comment i find very offensive. i like old school bands. but i don't do pot or any drug. that was an unnecessary judgement.

  • @theshadowofmetal it was not a judgement it was an observation based on my surroundings. i didn't say everyone EVER except me who listens to old school black/death/thrash smokes pot. I said the people I'VE met. that was an unnecessary assumption of judgement. lol. not to call you out or ride your ass or anything, you're cool man. but to add to that also, I've never met any of you in person. you guys don't officially count towards the statistics made of my observations.

  • Dead was the AWESOMEST METAL FRONTMAN EVAR! and now we get to see him every time we look at the album cover, AwE-sOmE!

  • Yup it sold more then any Beatles album.

  • And, it is the most famous BOOTLEG recording ever.
