Thought these had some sort of fuel shut off for say 112 mph. We have a 97 Deville with 180k on it. Best car we've owned to date. Getting into the nickel and dime stages though. Glad I'm a wrench or we'd have to dump her for a newer model.
@jakeluvsmel no she just hauls ass on top end...check out some other videos of it. My WS6 with full exhaust traps 98 in the 1000 ft. my best in the caddy was 93 so I think that's pretty impressive
@Thunderchicken1997 shot with a camera back in 2008, windows were up. just showing what she could do. If you knew anything about this model Caddy you would know they were notorious for bad wheel speed sensors. That alone would trigger both the Engine light and ABS. @cozzey05 sadly they never fixed that problem... i got a 2000 with 211k on the clock went throught 3 transaxle sensors and a torque converter... but im just thankful my headgasket isnt gone yet. i know the northstars were notorious for the headgaskest blowin
@cozzey05 The 95 runs fine with bad wheel speed sensors. I had 2 same year & every other 95 has the abs light on. The engine light is probably an 02 sensor bad.
@cozzey05, I love my 96 sedan deville, it has a 32 valve northstar. The fastest I have ever been in mine was 79 miles an hour! I love it to much to do that!
@gfxdave99 each wheel has its own speed sensor to control the stability system...if one is turning faster than the other then obviously something is wrong. there's another speed sensor on the transmission and that is the one that shows on the speedo.
@gfxdave99 It's for the Anti lock braking system to prevent your brakes from locking up if you were to slam on them..........idiots.. and you're car gets its speed from the transmission
if that was a old cadillac (older than 78) i would have bolted on a holley 850 double pumper, thrust glasspacks, put in a cam, better intake, roller rocker arms, undercut valves, msd or mallory ignition, and a couple of other things to unleash the speed
@cozzey05 i still like older ones better when it comes to the style of the car. but most of the time when it comes to performance fuel injection is over carbs. i like the older ones because they r cheaper to work on and are more easy but i also would agree that the newer ones have more performance options
@leafsrule16 thats what i meant. yea i know. ive got a 96 jeep cherokee sport 4.0. i put on a magnaflow muffler, k & n cold air intake, shift kit, higher trans shift points, lifted the revv limiter, performance computer and power tune, bigger injectors, performance throttle body sensors, and a couple of other things and it really woke er up. its stock 0-60 time was about 9 seconds and now its 6.8 seconds its lightning fast! to bad the low 4. something rear gearings limits it to 113 mph (gps)
governed .. sounds shitty but i doubt youd want a 96 cherokee going over 113 to be honest .. i had a grand marquis doing 220 and it was dangerous as fuck, i coudlnt turn at all .. so much for that.
@leafsrule16 i know, the steering!!! lol its like you were to have no steering at all. its really scary. im going to rebuild the steering column to eliminate all of the free play, and i will have to somehow turn off the power steering so it is stiff and isnt free wheeling around and nothing happens. i also might lower the car so all of the air isnt catching on everything under the car.
I Had a 99 cadillac and I had a button on their were I can switch it from mph to kilometers and I could hit 130 I can't tell in ur video if it's kilometers or not that is fast if that is mph but I doubt it buddy

well it makes sense that an older engine would be more prone to failure. i have 150k on my car, so sometimes i let her rip for show, but i mostly drive granny. now if i had a new car...would be this video every day.
they only have a govenor on first gear after that tach it out all you want but i will warn you the transmissioncooler built into the radiator will blow out on the third to overdrive shift if you are running more than 6500 rpm when you shift it reason way to much line pressure. 0-60 in just over 7 seconds iff in complete trim you drop the spare and clean out the jack and all that goodshit from the trunk you could do better.

i can teach you how to hack the DIC to get the RPM, Coolant Temp, and Battery Voltage if you message me.
Its super easy, its the same DIC in the eldorado and seville, all you gotta do is trick your DIC into thinking its in one of those cars and not a deville.
I guess cadillac thought only old people would choose the deville therefore they wouldnt want those 3 stats....

my cadillac had the same button but it would also change the gas from gallons to liters...notice its still on gallons
i also ran a best of 13.9 in the 1/4 so she was pretty quick

the chip increased the timing and removed the top speed limiter...i wanted it for the extra power the speed limiter was just a plus
