I'm not so sure what you meant by saying Kevin Smith was a genious when making Dogma. I highly doubt there will ever be a real life scenario where two angels are sent to Earth(not hell) for temporary punishment, swearing like the dickens, and taking God's name in vain. Secondly, notice that one of the character's names is Loki, which also happens to be the name of an imaginary god of Greek mythology. Sorry, but I have to disagree with your description on this movie.

The three cameras used to show them in a conversatation would be on one side on that imaginary line. That's the 180 degree rule. Directors don't really go against it. In "The Shining", they completely void that rule.
