It's good to have a snorkel. However I would also suggest a tarp on the grill to protect the radiator fan & radiator. It takes no time to install and is extra insurance.
Where I live (Northern NSW Australia) creeks rise fast during wet weather. At times I have to cross a creek, with water just about that that deep, to get to my house. And sometimes at night. Which of course means lights go under the water. Mind you I wouldn't leave home when the water level is high. Instead would just sit on the front patio waiting for it to go down again.
Yer you head up the lynd highway out of the towers, i think from memory its about 40 km NORTH of CT, its a turn off to the right, and you cross this stream within about 300-400 meters from the highway. and to get to big bent itself travel towards the river about 1.5 km explor this whole area its great up there.. sorry i cant give coord to the turnoff as my GPS shit itself and lost all waypoints...pp
man I am guessing you guys in Australia have the the worlds playground for outdoors, and 4 wheel drive. I understand though your not allowed to own guns? that sucks.
hey mate, nice video. to get to this crossing, do you jsut turn off the highway and travel about 60 ks? if not how do u cross this one. Most the good camping spots are past this arent they?
Yer I guess thats one of the weather conditions we have up here in north queensland, 2 or 3 inches of rain can fall within an hour, and rivers rise... just like this one did... took us about 1 hour to go about 2 km, very very slipery and wet .
absolutely, SA, so water is not common, its very apparent you know what your doing! i would rather in situations like that learn from the experienced, than mistakes!!
i'm not a disiel fan but when it comes to stuff like this, in the petrol you just sit there counting the seconds before it stops at least in a disiel you got a better than average change to make it
much deeper, crazier, and high flowing river crossing for anyone wanting a good video, visit my channel!
