D2Xs have larger ISO sensitivity range (100-3200) than D2X (100-800) and it does have newest firmware... except that, it's the same camera...

Technically,There is no difference between D2X & D2Xs.Only two things are different:1.D2X is using the EN-EL4 Lithium-Ion battery,D2Xs Is using The EN-EL4a Lithium-Ion battery.and 2.D2Xs is more expensive than D2X...

what are you asking for it? I am looking for a backup for my d3. And yes it is big and heave. ovet 2.5lbs without a battery and lens.
