if you know about ryan he firmly believes that he is running for god's glory, and that god has given him a gift, which he has. Hall has every right to be confident. he's not arrogant, he knows he can be beat. just look at the olympics.
Because god didn't give Ryan Hall his running ability. Ryan gave it to him himself. If you decided to run seriously for 10 years, running about 10 miles each day you too would have running ability.
@jimmydoolittle22 He is giving food to starving children through Ryan. Watch the World Vision press conference with Ryan. All he talked about was helping the poor in Africa and all around the world. We all were given ability, but how many of us turn it around and find a way to help the poor and less fortunate?
@jimmydoolittle22 Neither. He wants us to stop being selfish and help each other. To take our eyes off of ourselves and only what we want. More than enough food and resources for everyone. If everyone had an attitude to serve and help we could lower that number significantly.
@jimmydoolittle22 That's a really great question. God's ways transcends our comprehension. No one can answer questions like that except God, and for some reason he does not choose to disclose that information to us. All I know is that Ryan's running ability allows him to help the people of this world, and he is doing his best to honor God by undertaking that responsibility. Whatever is happening out there; it's all for a greater unknown purpose.
A great performance by Ryan today. He is very likeable. I was fortunate to meet him last year at Stanford while he watched his wife run at a pre-Olympic trials event. He was very genuine and a pleasure to talk to.
Because they have to help themselves. Just like how Ryan has ran Reckless for years. They have to work to acheive their goals too.

@goodfellabeats "He is giving food to starving children through Ryan."
40,000 kids will die of starvation today so either he wants them to starve to death or he can't help them. Which one is it?

@goodfellabeats Is your god powerful enough to stop the 40,000 children from starving?

@goodfellabeats Your silence speaks volumes but I'll ask again anyways. Is your god powerful enough to stop the 40,000 children from starving today?
