one reason why bioshock was so cool is because they took fantasy powers and made them more science fiction than fantasy magic and stuff... how many games are there where you shoot lightning from your hand and it not be magic... and the shear underwater city effect made you feel even more alone because your in a completely secluded environment with psychotics. plus the npcs your deal with are very warped people

As far as I'm concerned, Bioshock Infinite (or generally things that have thought and creativity put into it) is going to outdo even the likes of Call of Duty and Halo. All Halo and Call of Duty consists of is "kill aliens/soldiers, watch cutscene, rinse and repeat". Don't get me wrong, I like the simpler side of the spectrum (Duke Nukem Forever, I'm looking at you), but it's games like Mass Effect, Shadow of the Colossus, and Braid that make us appreciate video games as an art form.
