  • Was a 30 year AT&T employee, and of all the commercials we did over the years, this one still remains my favorite.

  • @ajankowski2 - I came to look for this video after reading a book titled, Corporate Cults: The Insidious Lure of the All-Consuming Organization.

    So was / is AT&T a cult-like organization?

  • If you really want to spend time with your kids, turn that phone off!!

  • Wow I remember this commercial!!!!!!!!!!

  • I graduated from high school in 1997, I am starting to feel old now.

  • that little girl at the end looks exactly like my little cousin sarah :D

  • I remember this commercial to this day, even though this is quite awhile ago. I was 11 at the time and loved the story it told. It shows that mothers can both multitask and find a way to have fun with their children even when they're busy. The song choice is definitely appropriate and the ending is just cute! Thanks for posting. I wish commercials were still like this.

  • haha i remember this comercial

  • roflsniper, the babysitter stayed at the house...watching TV!

  • Wow, the bad thing is that I actually remembered when this aired #oldman

  • Whats this song?

  • @Culzean91 girls just wanna have fun by cyndi lauper

  • I'm in this commercial!! I can't believe someone put it on youtube but I'm glad they did!! :D

  • @lol4ever8932 which one are you?

  • @maxlogica I'm the little blonde in the refrigerator :)

  • @lol4ever8932 Hahah! must be pretty embarassing showing this to people now as it seems you are just wearing a nappy! were you a child actor?!

  • @maxlogica no i just did this commercial

  • Thank goodness my mom is a Wal-Mart worker.

  • wow.. I remember seeing that commercial

  • cute

  • omg this makes me feel so old....

  • god that phones old. To think that was only 13 years ago.

  • Is the babysitter Jessica Gaynes from "Wild & Crazy Kids"?

  • An old AT&T commercial. Wow. How times have changed but, yet, stayed the same.

  • ahhhhh the 90's

  • wow electrogeek, you're obnoxious. you must be the life of all parties.

  • Great ad, I love it.

  • This commercial made me laugh so hard I cried. As a single mother, I could totally relate to competing priorities. This is one of my favorites of all time! Christina

  • what a great commercial. I like the ones that tell a story and it's an important one at that. Saw it all the time on TV back then!

  • I loved this commercial. That little girl is insanely adorable.

  • haha which little girl? the one with the curly brown hair?

  • Yeah.... the one that says, "Hey guys, it's time for the meeting!"

  • haha im not joking here but that little girl is me.... my name is emma

  • Ha. I watched your commercial all the time. I loved it. Your part at the end was my favorite!

  • haha thanks.... means alot to me. this was the best commercial i did! it was the most fun and took the most time! haha. im almost 17 now... i was like 5 there.

  • @mmsk8rax hey im in this too! im the little blonde :) my name is kristi but you might have known me as kk. do you remember me at all?

  • @GeNae227 which one? the blonde the fridge or the brunette one with the funny lines?

  • I remember seeing this commercial when i was 14. I like the part where everyone was playing on the beach

  • Ok, this looks more like a cell phone or a phone and not a electric memo pad or an Ipod

  • why did the mom change her mind when the girl ask when's she gonna be a client?

  • Because the mom was so busy with work, her clients got more attention than her kids. When her daughter asked if she could be a client too (so she could get her mom's time/attention) the mom realized she needed to spend more time with her kids.

  • @alligatorjuice ...and because her AT&T phone worked wherever she did, it meant she could do whatever she wanted or needed to do, free from worry that she'd miss that very important call.

That's what we in the telecommunications industry do. That's what we enable. Go where you want and do what you want...we'll make sure you get the call.

  • I'm sorry I offended your delicate sensibilities by having an opinion that opposes yours.

And you're right - I know nothing about commercials. I've just studied, written, produced and starred in them. Yes, no clue at all.

And thank you for reminding me to get a life! How I desire to be the kind of person that posts three comments in a row and puts people with different opinions down! You must be some kind of guru!

  • Comment removed

  • I apologize for the offending comments. I am not a guru. I just related to the commercial so it was very enjoyable to me, and made me laugh every time I saw it. You were right for calling me on the carpet about opposing opinions. I re-read my comments and parts of them were out of line, so I have removed them.

  • Later that day, mommy finds out that she has just lost her job! Now the family is on welfare! O_O

  • lol, but i thought that the point of the commercial that she could take work with her! and still be with the girls?....isn't that what the telephone call she received at the beach was about? the or a client calling her? LOL, yeah but what u said is still funny, because sometimes hollywood and others forget that the reality of it all is we still gotta work to put it all together! or even afford this phone for that matter! LOL!

  • Hilarious!

  • That commercial just wasn't orchestrated correctly...just my opinion though
