when i got diagnosed i was 12 i was in minnesota at the MOA and it was terrifying i got diagnosed a week after my 12 b-day, i am doin really glad and i am proud!! (: thank you to all of yall diabetics for bein a inspiration to me!

It's ok nick...my brother was diagnosed with diabetes at the age of 3 and he is 10 now. We participate in almost every walk and event for JDRF. Me and my friends are thinking about having a concert for a cure, we are going to attempt to get famous people like you guys to come. When my brother first got it, he was afraid to poke his finger so i did it with him. i have to say it hurts. LOVE YOU!!!!!

one moment please, i have diabetes type 1 too and its not so bad how you have desrcibed it. You can die but only after 2-3 days und only if you have lost consciuosness. And i don´t know exactly your situation and your friend, but i would get angry when my freind ask me everytime if i have check my blood sugar.

i have juvenile or however you spell it diabetes (type 1 like nick jonas) and when i didnt know i lost almost all of my body wheight my face was going away kinda and if i walked up the stairs i would have to take a 1 hour sleep just to gain all of my energey back and i had to use the bathroom so much i wanted to bring the bathroom with me.when i went to the hospital i was worried sick for myself and the first thing i asked when i got into the hospital like nick jonas was "will i die" .

(i'm a type one diabetic, too) but one thing was a little incorrect. though i am not on a pump and take four shots a day instead, i can assure you that if his pump stops working he won't just drop dead. he would order a new pump and take shots until it arrived! the vid was so sweet and i can tell you were sincere!

He wont die if his omnipod quits working! He would simply get a new pump. Diabetics who use an insulin pump have to take their pump off all the time cause you cant get it wet (ie. take it off when you shower or go swimming) I feel bad for your friend. You would drive me mad if you always asked if I check my sugar and if I took my shots. (Yeah, I'm a Type 1 diabetic like Nick, so do you feel bad for me to?)

my best friends little sister was ONLY 4 YEARS OLD

and she passes away from type 1 diabetes. It was just to much for her to handle, and i know that god didnt think that she could handle it, and he did the right thing, by sending her out of being miserable.
