Aren't you a little concerned it may be a little heavy on the barrel since Kimbers are so well balanced already? Anyway the finish on that pistol is stunning. Good choice!

@ncwings I have a couple of plans If I do have to bug out it's not to far where I'm going and I have a small group that can help me pack all my food ect... In a long term thing most of these guns will be for trade I will keep the core ones. I've told the group when everyone is running around in a panic we will already be putting things into motion or already done. Read a book called PATRIOTS by James Rawles it will give you some good ideas.

@greygoosevodka1 the main use for 22's in a SHTF time is food collection. I can kill everything from rabbits to small deer and make no noise. but I do use the 22 to train the kids. and if you needed to use it for defence it will go through the hard part of the skull to.
I really wish i had neighbors like him. I've pretty much started my own collection and I certainly hope more people start. Get to know your neighbors just in case SHTF just remember there is strength in numbers!

@73Corbin if you SBR 308 or 223 you need atleast a 10inch barrel to stablize the bullet I would look into a Gemtech HVT it is FA raited and you can quick detach breaks for everything

Ive got powder, Primers, Brass, Bullets stock pile that if I lock my house down I have lots of ammo but I can reload everyhing to. But bottom line nice collection!!!

Some that I can't admit to here in canada but they are stashed real good . Ended in a deal with a couple of other guys years ago with we shot a lot. We bought skids of ammo and split them up. I have put away over 50,000 rounds in both 7.62 and 5.56 as well as 9mm. Just hoping to get the rest of the needs done before it comes off the rails.
