I actually have it while tapping. It's just an effect than can be done by a Bit Crusher, and that can also be obtained replacing the Bit Crusher with a Fuzz pedal which has a "Blend" effect (like the Bronze Master (VST) pedal in Line 6 Pod Studio devices) . If you don't have this "attack" as you said, you can slightly bring your strings closer to your fretboard by adjusting them at the top of your fretboard.

Anyway, the result I got is really close to the original, I'll publish it

On the actual track it was recorded an octave lower at half speed and plucked. Even at that speed you should still be able to pluck it. There are just really subtle string bends in it that you can't really achieve the full effect of with you tap it.

I've come to the conclusion that playing this solo as it sounds on the record is impossible for some (me). I physically cannot make a 9 to 14 stretch...that's just insane. I'm going to try to compensate by using my tapping finger to tap both the 17 and the 14, but so far it just sounds sloppy.
