When back in the early 80's this guy proclaim himself to be the worlds greatest entertainer. I said to myself WTF is he talking about. I went to a show at Constitution Hall in DC he was the opening act for Teena Marie. They came on first and destroyed the place thats when i knew I was seeing something special, I had the privelege on seeing Roger and Zapp maybe 6 times after that, what a perfomer what a band.. These guys were entertainers please don't do these new jacks an injustice

Don't know how many ever saw them when they were 'Roger and the Human Bodies'. I mean they had some of the tightest females on the planet with them and at the end of the show they all got 'bucket nakeds - you could see their public hairs'. Wildest show I've ever seen!

@nickfigu For those that don't know.. what T-pain does(autotune) is a VOCAL EFFECT, what Roger does (Synth Keyboard + TALKBOX) is an INSTRUMENT that you actually have to play as you can clearly see. They don't sound the same at all and it is really a slap in the face to roger to even make your lips to say that they are the same. T-pain runs his voice through a digital processor that stair steps the pitch of it to create the ditilized effect. Roger re-directs the sound of the synth to his mouth.

Roger & T-Pain are/were both good at what they do. I'm an old school brotha all the way but the talkbox and vocoder are two DIFFERENT things even though they sound similar. T-Pain must be doing a good job if he is on every song on the radio
