Dell Xps M1330 - HDMI TEST

i plugged my digital camera in but nothing happens. usually a window comes up and is asking me if i want to import pictures, not this time??? how do i know if my hdmi is working? running xp pro sp3...thanks

I went for the M1530 simply because of the Blu-ray drive, 256MB NVIDIA GT and 1080P screen.

I don't need to hook it to my flat screen to enjoy the full HD experience.

But I'm jealous how portable the M1330.

yea you just have to enable the sound on the laptop( go to the volume button )

Does anybody know if there is a sound driver to send the audio to the TV by the HDMI cable?

If you haven't found a solution for this yet, Just go to the speaker icon in the tray and look for SPDIF interface. When you do just set the SPDIF as default before running the game. When you want audio on your laptop again just switch it back.

Note:Right clicking and Double clicking the speaker in the tray gives you different options.

Thank you very much, the only way i've found for runnin the sound in the tv has been installing a Vista partition. In Xp i could not find an alternative device to select. May be something is bad installed. I'll try what you say.

hey how is this done i've tried connecting the hdmi from my game to my 1330 and nothing it says no external display attached help if u could

connect HDMI from your M1330 to your TV... then press FN+F8 to switch the display.

no, one hdmi cable, male to male, going from your M1330 to your HDMI Input behind your TV.

Then push FN+F8 and it will show three options, laptop screen, both screens, external screen

i see the screens but when i put the game on the t.v it doesn't show on my laptop it works for the laptop screen but not for the game i got to be doing something wrong or what

Yes It can handle it with great graphics. I have and XPS M1330 and the first thing I did was I downloaded COD 4 demo.

Happy to see that the HDMI actually works on the xps.

My XPS m1530 should arrive within 3 weeks, and the blu-ray + my full HD lcd should do the trick.

sucks, on my m1330 just out of the box when trying to redirect the video to the output it crashes, bios update and video card update and nothing... =(
