does anyone know the history of Cat engines, i know they have suzuki now, but didn't they have kohler for awhile?

no, as far as i know, theyv almost always run suzukis...iv got an old 79 el tigre and it runs a suzuki...iv never heard of em runnin kohler, but its possible

interesting, i thought they statred using suzuki engines after they went bankrupt and came back....but i'm still sure they used Kohler's back in the 70's at one-time, but thx for yur answer.

they used kohlers in the beginning. then sachs 303 wankels. then kawasaki, then suzuki in 1976.

i knew someone would know, thx for that, ya kawasaki's had cool sleds too, loved the invader 440, great llooking sleds... john deere had some pretty good sleds too....i grew up on ski-doo, being Canadian, but loved all the diffreent makes, like merc, massey-ferguson, chaparell, now there are only 4 producers... but wicked good sleds these days
