@juliesteve Talk about something you have facts on bud. His toxicology report was negative. As a personal friend of his I know he never used. I handed off to him in this video over 2 years ago. Nick was a great guy, and a blessing to the sport of powerlifting.
You're kidding right? Toxicology reports don't cover anabolic steroids. He was a great guy, and was even nice enough to give me advice on my own bench press shortly before he passed. I didn't really know him, just looked up to him and contacted him once, but make no mistake, he used steroids, good god did he ever.
If Powerlifting could actually provide it's athletes with half-decent amounts of money it would be so much more interesting.
Is Kennelly also training for MMA? The UFC has no SHW division at the moment so I don't see how he could even compete - and if you want the good money you go to the UFC.
Kennelly has hit 405 X 12 on incline with a close grip for his best incline set. This was done in early 2007. I'd be willing to wager $50 on Kennelly doing 405 X 18-20 RAW on an inclined bench.
Keep in mind though that Ryan had fuller ROM (not all the way though), he had better pace, and better explosion. It's true that this is one hell of a feat to be impressed with, but nothing compares to Kennelly's 405 X 20 like he did it. Ryan also did that said 4 or 5 years ago. This is recent for Nick. Ryan could probably do the same.
