I was just replying to the comments that asked if he was dead. He's most certainly not dead. In face, you can see him trying to push himself up to stand right before the last roll.
I still think he was probably just fine after this. He didn't smack into the ground at speed. He bumped into the handlebars and then fell to the ground pretty slowly. Since his riding suit has shoulder, elbow and kneepads, I'll bet his ego and his bike are the only things that got hurt here.
I would still say he hit the ground at speed. It is not the distance he fell from the handle bars it is the speed at which the bike is moving. A couple months ago I had a deer T-bone and took me off my bike. I was wearing my gear but still cracked a rib and separated a few others and mucked up hip. All from falling over ot the right. No road rash but hitting the ground at speed and coming to a quick stop due to friction can hurt you. There is still a solid impact.
The next time you feel the temptation to loft the front wheel on the freeway on a typical day full of traffic, ask yourself: "What is behind me that's going to run over me if I go down?"

No road rash but hitting the ground at speed and coming to a quick stop due to friction can hurt you. There is still a solid impact.

troy, you learn & improve riding skills by NOT crashing, & by anticipating limits & potential dangers BEFORE disaster strikes. This also involves not pulling reckless stunts on public roads. In the same way, a champion boxer advances his skills & unbeaten record by trying to avoid being hit in the face & head, NOT by recklessly offering his unguarded chin to his opponent to knock him out with a single punch. Pulling stunts on public roads is like offering your chin to death.
