i found a lost junkyard to. exploring the backwoods in florida and found about 30 cars in pretty ok condition. also found a quiet bit of rare cars as well.

@CORVAIRWILD  if i can remember right... i think the spyder is the convirtable and the monza has the hard top... or vice versa... i remember this time he let me take a "cruze" around the block... road was wet and i gave a little too much gas and poped the clutch... man that thing got stupid squirly... i didnt even go all the way around... i was afraid of crashing it... the flat 6 was a great idea...

My Mom had a 4 door corvair. And my dad had a red convertible corvair like in the video. One issue they had back in the day was they had aluminum lifters. And my mom knew a guy in a machine shop that custom made steel lifters for it and never had anymore problems out of it.

When I was 7 we lived at Homestead AFB, Fl. in '66. My dad had a gold convertible Corvair, white top, red interior, wire wheels. Probably a '62 0r '63. Standard version. Always remember it. Corvairs are cool.

I just went to Jeffs about 2 weeks ago, one of the best organized yards Ive seen in a long time. Still a few corvairs there too. Theres also a guy just outside of Montpelier who has a yard full of Corvairs too.

you should go there again and ask to have one of the cars cause then you can cut the back and off of one that isnt restorable and make it into a couch like my dad did when our '66 ford mustand coupe ran down the hill and crashed so he cut the rear right off and made it into a couch that is very comfy
