@woodstocklad as a former marine id have to say check into the airforce or army. better options and life styles. If you do go marine it will mostly suck and all you will be left with is some sense of "bragging rights" either way just do yourself a giant favor and make sure you chose a carrier path that has a future. Infantry field is kind of a dead end job. work on diesel engines/ choppers dont be an engineer you will just dig big fuking holes. But all in all good luck!

i believe that every citizen should serve their country in their lifetime. whether you work in a mail room back home or your kick ass and kill bastards on the front line everyone should have to do something, especially at a time of war.

@Blinkfortress here in mexico its mandatory, but the good thing is ur not listed as soldier, you just spend one day at a military base for a year and thts it, you do whatever they tell you to, and hhmm you folow army laws while ur there, its good becus u dont have to stop ur life in the week just on the weekends, but it sucks cus they should let us do more army stuff

It doesnt work. Serving your country "especially at a time of war" only adds to it. But of course, this is just what i think.

@kkeewiinn2 I disagree. Although I do believe in the war on people such as the Taliban as wars like that are necessary I believe it would be preferable if there was peace in the world. I also feel as though unpatriotic people should not be shunned or harassed for not wanting to serve their country.

@woodstocklad as a former marine id have to say check into the airforce or army. better options and life styles. If you do go marine it will mostly suck and all you will be left with is some sense of "bragging rights" either way just do yourself a giant favor and make sure you chose a carrier path that has a future. Infantry field is kind of a dead end job. work on diesel engines/ choppers dont be an engineer you will just dig big fuking holes. But all in all good luck!
