Hi. Aprox by the year 2020 a laptop will reach the human brain potential for processing data which means that there is a huge market waiting for hundreds of billions dollars to be sold or invested in humanoid robots and intelligent systems and the beginning of the bigger industry ever maid in human history. Search on Google luisbeck007 you will find the most complete humanoid robot list in the World, good information and interesting issues.
This building was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, and I can definitely see how the architects of the Burj Dubai were inspired by this design. I'm glad to see Wright's genius hasn't been forgotten.
This tower would be constructed in the city of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and owned by the Saudi businessman Prince Alwaleed bin Talal has disease work on the project other words, the city of Jeddah will be the biggest competitor for the city of Dubai in the near future
so wouldn't you need to have the support beams at least 1,000 feet in the ground to counter balance the sway? Mile-high skyscrapers are something I dont expect to see until at least 2070 if I'm still alive, the biggest one i saw was in Popular Science it was in Dubai and it was 1001 meters tall (thousand and one nights get it?)

This is certainly possible, but unfortunately, the United States will never have another tallest building. You're broke and fat! You may have the tallest building again when America's rightful owners have been returned their land.
@Maxiedude13 an analogue of the mile high prototype has already been seriously proposed for construction either in jeddah or riyadhh, w/ the budget already completely allocated; just waiting on soil samples... it'll be a little <5,000' in comparison to khalifa's 2,717'.
The decline of the US. US buildings will only be 1/4 as high as this. I would not want to be born an American and watch the country slide economically, military wise and everything else.
It might, this vid was just about the former one and Chicago actually isn't really windy at all although I don't kno w were then name windy city came from.
there is a higher building the name is ultima tower and 2 miles high San Francisco California and it use natural energy and is intended to house one million residents. it started at 1991 and doesnt know the deadlines
I really think this building would need LOTS OF WEIGHT in order to not be knocked down by the slightest wind. No offense, but a mile high is just a bit too high. I already think that the Burj Dubai that is almost complete (about half mile high) is a bit too high. But I'm not complaining, I'm a Hongkonger, and we live in high heights because of all the tall public apartment complexes.
It looks like a huge version of the Burj Dubai! But I think a mile high building is going a bit over the top! Would be too tall to take a picture of it!
lets hope the version for Saudi Arabia will proceed cause I really would like to see a mile high building in reality. Preferably built before the date of 2090.
WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU YOU THINK THAT THAT WAS FUNNY MY PARENTS DIED THAT DAY MY LIFE IS RUINED how would you like it if i KILLED YOUR FUCKING PARENTS
You mean when they find a client rich enough to pay for it. This monster was already well planned with only "minor" questions behind atomic elevators. Everything else structurally was well thought out. So even if it was only a picture, it is still an impressive and accurate vision.
That's obscene! Not as goofy as dynamic architecture though, eesh. The original mile high tower(pictured at 0:15 ) was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. A building that tall would be tough to engineer today, but can you imagine trying to build it in the 40's? FLW called his tower The Illinois, by the way... By the time we can build something this tall, the elevator thing won't be an issue because we'll just be teleported straight to our rooms. Haha.
I find it no coincidence that the architecture firm that designed the Burj Dubai is based in Chicago. I think they did a little "borrowing" of Wright's design.
This building was only concept, it will never be built unless we invent a new type of elevator that will reduce the amount of space needed to run current ones. Look Mile High Tower up on google and it will tell you all the specifics of why it wouldn't work. It was a genius design, but elevators were its primary downfall.
Also, I read that it is impossible with our CURRENT technology because elevator shafts going that high up would be waaay too unstable. But, maybe in the future we could design it.
Actually, a mile high tower is still going to built. Not many people know about it, but I have done some research, and a 5,000 ft. tower will eventually be built somewhere in the Middle East. Starting and finishing dates are not know.
And there is also supposed to be "The Chicago Spire" built in Chicago, but it is currently on hold due to the economy.
this is just a concept they come out with once every 10 years and every twenty years they actualy build it. this would be cool in chicago if it was needed. but, it is not what chicago needs is more highrises in the south and northwest
Actually it's a once project that was going to be constructed by the late architect and designer Frank Lloyd Wright. The building was designed back during the 1950's and was suppose to be constructed in Chicago.
HAHA...i know...Srry for asking such a dumb question to which the answer was obvious but I felt I had not posted a comment on Youtube for a while and I just thought id give it a go
People are saying "Wow this is going to be built?"
Haha. Those people saying that are such kids!
The economy sucks so bad! Even Chicago Spire stopped!
You think THIS project will be built?
What I am telling are facts. Rate this comment down guys! You rate it down, that means you don't know what the economy is! Everyone SHOULD know that the economy is bad.
Yes the economy is bad, but if you read my comment I just posted on this video up top, you will discover that a Mile High tower will be built in the Middle East.

Actually it's a once project that was going to be constructed by the late architect and designer Frank Lloyd Wright. The building was designed back during the 1950's and was suppose to be constructed in Chicago.

HAH This is such a joke!
