Ahhh... the "Super Skytacular" the old blimps from 1969 to about 1997 had a total of i think 4,000 lights. It used a turbine generator underneath the gondola to power the lights. Today they use a laptop. The unique thing is that you see the test paterns with all the colors in this video.

Well Done I always loved those night time spectaculars on the goodyear blimp and today is alright but I like this one much better though
