hey, I've just went through mandy moore's albums and i bought Wild hope. Lot's more songs are suppose to be in the album like could've been watching you, swept away, never again..etc..but it isn't there! Does any of you have a clue why?

i think its just because the titles of the songs express the whole point of the album and what its trying to say...artists have been doing that forever. its not a new fad or anything. its just that theres a song on the album that has a title that sums up the album

as a songwriter, i dont always have a title track to my projects, but most times a title track sums up the record. not always. but it sometimes gives a theme of the album. sometimes even the title of the album is within a song. U2's How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb album title is used in the cut songs Fast Cars and Xanax and Wine (which are almost the same song.) or Ryan Cabrera's album You Stand Watching uses the line in "It's You." It is nothing new at all. goes back decades.
