@wuzumaki You mean the worst fighting system ever? As I recall, 'counter' doesn't work half of the time. That's like having a racing game without the brakes: it doesn't work. Don't get me wrong, THIS IS the first decent Batman game, but if combat wasn't such a big element in the game, it would be so much better.

counter doesnt work half the time? you sir are doing something wrong. despite the game engine being new and animations and time windows being quite tight, that is no reason to make up for your own mistakes. It took practice to get good at it, and luckily enough not that much either.

I do hope however they advance on this battle system in the 2nd game, and if possible with a bit more emphasis on the accessibility for players.

I'm not trying to be mean, but the system does work.

@DoctorObviously Counter works fine, you're just not timing it right. If you press the button to counter and you don't counter, then it means you didn't time it correctly. You can't press counter after they're half way through their swing and expect to successfully counter the attack.

Accusing a feature for not working properly because you're not using it right is like claiming ABS doesn't work in a racing game, then you play it again and realize you had ABS assist turned off.

@cvslb1 it's a very good game. Whether you're a Batman fan or not, you'd enjoy this game. This combat system is extremely fluid and flows together nicely. It's nearly impossible to tell when an animation stops for the new one to start because it flows so nicely, but that comes at no surprise since this game uses Unreal Engine 3.5.

As a comparison, I never did really get into Batman. The theme was just... strange to me. Despite not initially being a huge fan of Batman, I still love this game.
