My NHS treatment is taking far longer than it should due to a lack of staff and massive waiting lists. I am on a high priority too! Does he want the NHS and education to fail? Good figures below but GB's deficit reduction plan means borrowing £150mil next year,£125mil year after that etc and doubling the total debt to about £1,4 trillion, with an annual interest rate bill of £80BILLION!!!!And that plan is based on very optomistic growth projections and doesn't include PFI.He'd probably get better growth using this money to cut taxes temporarily to stimulate the real economy.

A Worldwide downturn is not Labours fault, it's the people who want a Conservative government who created this, like the rich greedy bankers, who will go to any ends to get a Scameron in power. They want everyone but them to pay back for their greedy casino behaviour. Vote Brown = Stay On Track, Vote Scameron = Do Nothing Except help rich friends, Opportunist, Political Point Scoring at its worst. God Help Us.

When the bankers held the country's economy to ransom Labour gave them more money. Your money. My money. Don't get me wrong the Tories would have done the same thing, but that's the point.

Had labour not bailed out the banks/Our Economy and gave them more money to recapitalise them like most countries in the world did, something the Tories disagreed with, they wanted a collapse so they could get a sniff at power!!! We would be in a very different HORRENDOUS situation now, probably similar to a 30's depression but Gordon avoided this by the action he took and many countries in the G8 & world following his lead. TORIES resented this action as they wanted in power.

The 'Big Society' what are you talking about? 'We the People'? You are NOT one of the people, you are NOT thinking of the countries interests, just yourself, and going down in history. Neither of the major parties now represent the majority of average people here. Let's hope they all see that and vote towards proportional representation, let's have an end to this pathetic two horse race. Both parties repeatedly running the country into the ground for decades.

@blacflag I wasn't aiming that at you - sorry for the misunderstanding. I was agreeing with you about Cameron's notion of Big Society, by spelling out what it basically means. I've encountered Tory candidates who are censoring opinion and discussion on their blogs that doesn't help them stick to the "I am an honest person and the Tories have changed" script. Basically showing that Big Society isn't interested in the opinion of non-Tories. Sorry again for the misunderstanding.

This Big Society is total bullshit. People have jobs to do, children to look after, ends to meet. Where do we get the time, energy and resources to run communities? Not everybody has the wherewithal ( or are cold enough) to pack their kids off to a 30 grand a yr private school. This mediocre,priviledged, shallow elitist has absolutely no idea how ordinary people live. He can shove this 'big idea' ( along with his "small amount" of £200k tax cuts for the wealthiest) up his gilded backside.

Very very dangerous, the thought that this man could become PM in just a few days time. He will be the biggest disaster that has hit this country for the populace in decades. Just you wait - back to boom/bust economics, high interest rates, high inflation, massive house repossesions, massive unemployment, businesses failing at record levels, the NHS suffering, the public sector decimated, education failing, law and order spiralling out of control.

Labour may have turned into Tory wannabes but when it comes to lying, corruption, and serving the interests of the rich at the expense of the poor the original Tory party will always be the experts. Unfortunately all that means is that I live in a country with an electoral system rigged in favor of two parties who I both believe are unelectable!

@IPAndrews Then vote tactically against the Tories. If it's between the Tories and another party in your constituency, vote for the other lot, whoever they might be. Until we have proportional representation, this is the only way to do it. It's not "keep the toffs out" or anything like that. We just need to break free of big business and the banking sector, because they've had their chance at power and proven themselves to be too greedy.

Well, much as I don't like Cameron,'toffs' used to run this country very well in many ways for a very long time - ran by 'toffs' in it's Victorian hay day. Fact is, theyre all constrained by political correctness, none of them will get tough on immigration, crime,welfare,the EU - on those 4 subjects they're pretty much the same and they all lie!!!!

@BigBaggaBlues Well it was Englands heydday though I'll accept labour, as in workforce, was exploited but up to then it always had been,mostly by landowners and it was everywhere but in terms of wealth it was the countrys heyday.
I agree with welfare AS an insurance policy,its essential in the modern world BUT far too many live off it permanently - why it costs so much!!

@ckerton1 For me,I just can't say Englands direction is good,my local town's scarry most nights,I avoid it by day and night now, night especially cos it's more scary than downtown Caracas used to be - it's more like the slums, you take your risk!!!And SA countries finances were dreadful, and I see this country heading more that way than the other way

Lets get real. I dont 100% trust any politicians, but to vote for Brown's government again would be insane. They've had 13 years to get it right. I hope the Tories or Lib Dems get in. Too little too late for Labour.
