  • you're obsessed with these but you dont know how to pronounce them.. its pie-stee

  • How would i come across getting some aluminum discs made....preferably as an experiment with 2, maybe a 16in and 18in

  • you can take your paiste cymbals to guitar center to be repaired at the factory i have no idea about the cost but its a good investment

  • Rude series all the way!!!

  • dream theater yeah!

  • Get some new fucking heads!

  • Pie-stee

  • looks like the Lars Ulrich TAMA drum kit from 1991

  • the revs kit! R.I.P!

  • Real nice kit. I'm not a fan of Paiste (I use Sabian) but I do love the DW kits.

  • i cant decide whether to go with paiste or zildjans a customs!! any suggestions???!

  • @Dwilliams3456

I'm definately partial to Paiste. I just love the sound and think they make a superior quality cymbal. They cost a little bit more money though. Thanks for watching and go Paiste all the way.

  • @Dwilliams3456

Do what I did - buy both!

  • @Dwilliams3456 paiste zikdjians frikin suck there to thick

  • @Dwilliams3456 get paistes

  • u know its pronounced (pie-stee) right? xD, but other than that nice vid :)..PAISTE ALL THE WAY!..spread the word

  • @macosoonami666

Yeah, I know. I've always pronouced that way for years without anyone correcting me until youtube. There was no internet or youtube for about the first 20 years that I was playing the drums, so it never came up. Check out the comments on my drum videos. Half of the comments tell me I'm pronouncing it wrong or they tell me how to pronounce it right. Thanks for watching.

  • @thegermanchannel212

Yeah, I know. Thanks for watching.

  • its pronounced like "Piestee" its german

  • @ihatechristine69

I know. I get bombarded with this all the time. It's just the way I have pronounced it for 25 years or more. I've heard other people pronounce it "payst". Now. I knew that was wrong. Also, my subscribers know that I pronounce it that way and most of my videos are not about drums so they don't really notice. If I make any more videos referring to my cymbals I will definately pronounce it correctly. Thanks for watching.

  • @ihatechristine69 It's Swiss Fuck Face

  • @101point5TMG um its german it says ON THE CYMBAL made in germany. research before you insult, and swiss people are practically germans aswell they all speak german

  • @ihatechristine69

It says "made in Switzerland" right on my RUDE cymbals. From what I have read they are made in both Switzerland and Germany today.

  • @paisteboy Well maybe some of paitse's cymbals are made in switzerland but i know for a fact that the Pst5 series says "Made In Germany"

  • @ihatechristine69

Right. The Pst5 are made in Germany. Thanks for watching.

  • @ihatechristine69 German?

  • @WBVIEW

It says made in Switzerland right on the cymbal.

  • @paisteboy my point exactly

  • Too much talk and not enough walk. Lets hear the drums man!

  • The only thing you're missing is a Coady Clutch!

  • i record all of my playing with a sony. how about you just play lighter you fucking idiot

  • @chazratm

You make no sense fuck face.

  • @paisteboy my comment makes perfect sense, maybe if you didnt beat the shit out of your kit and played a little quiter the camera wouldnt turn off, sorry if playing with dynamics is a little too difficult.

  • if your gonna call yourself paisteboy you should at least know how to pronounce paiste surely? lol

  • @drumdemon3

I've been pronouncing it that way for 27 years. It's too late to change now. Especially since I refer t myself on Youtube as Paisteboy and have said it that way in a lot of my videos. I've know about this for over 20 years, but a lot of people in my area still said it the way I do, so it was never corrected.

  • Paiste is Estonian for luster, or "shine." Useless tid-bit o' information I just shared with you.

  • @moosewing2

    That's cool.

  • sheep ass pedals 5000 jajajaja!!!!

but i like your drum kit!!

  • @chiritagua22

I've had those pedals longer than I've had the kit and they work perfect. I bought the kit in 1995 too. I also have a newer 5000 double pedal that I occasionally use.

  • how much would a kit like this go for?

  • @biggpappi34

If you were to buy this set today, I'd guess 10 to 12 thousand dollars.

  • @paisteboy i mean if i were to buy this from you in used condition, shells only (my friend has one just like it and i want to buy his)

  • @biggpappi34

Wow. that's a tough one. I bought the drums back in 1995 and I worked for the drum store where I bought them and got a better deal thatn ussual so it's hard to guess 15 years later. I would say maybe around 2500 to 3 grand for the drums only.

  • PIE-STEE not Pasty

  • @TheDeniedhopedrummer

I know. Old habbits die hard.

  • @paisteboy haha its all good my gf used to always call them that haha

  • Look at 2:02 nobody has seen it ? On the top of the hi-hat there's the bottom hi-hat ,it's backward ! Maybe it changes nothing , I'm not a drummer :p

  • @zeLudoo

A short time after I bought the hi hats I attempted to clean them starting with the top hat and the cleaner stripped the finish off of the cymbal so I've been playing with the bottom hat on top since about 1994.

  • @paisteboy Ah... Ok ;)

  • what kinda music do you play?

  • @BandOnTheRun87

I play mostly 80's Rock and Modern Rock but I dabbled in progressive rock like Dream Theater in the early to mid 90's.

  • thats a sexy kit

  • @Deathmest

    Thanks.

  • its pronounced pie-stee. but sweet kit

  • @bongomaster12345

I'm getting pounded for my mispronouciation of Paiste. I didn't realize how many people even realized it was pronouced like that. Thanks for watching.

  • @paisteboy yea haha my i always said it like that but my drum teacher corrected me and i've been hearing people pronounce it pie-stee ever since.

  • Those aluminum discs were a good idea. I especially like the 4" one. Great drum kit too by the way. I also play Paiste. but i use 2002 series and Signature series mostly.

  • @HouseOf1000Corpses2

Thanks for the comment. I really like the way Paiste sounds the best so I'm willing to pay a little more.

  • you call yourself paisteboy, yet you don't pronounce it right.

  • @CincoDrums

I've never heard that before. Paiste takes my money just the same when I buy there cymbals.

  • @paisteboy

    true

  • a Piccolo Snare for this huge drumset ?!

    that doesn't make sense :D

  • @lordvanthom

I've always liked the crack of a piccolo snare that's why I have one. I don't always have it quite that poppy though. I tuned it higher for a cover tune that I was playing at that time.

  • thats a sweet fatass drumkit. i play guitar but i would still love to have a kit like that.

  • @TheBIGBEAR151

Thanks. I have to set it all back up for practice on Sunday. It's a chore.

  • Why do I care about your camera? And maybe a deeper snare. But overall not to bad.

  • i am looking for a dw kit of roughly the same size, how much did this kit cost, just an average price would be ok, what series of dw are these as well,

  • @vanhalen515084

Well for starters I bought the kit in 1995 and I worked at the store from where I purchased them, so I got a great discount. I'm sure they were a lot cheaper back then too. I Think it was around $6000.00 back then (if I add in the pedals and hardware) , but I would have to guess that today the same setup would be 10 to 12 grand. It has been 15 years now in May.

  • @vanhalen515084

Oh and it's the Collectors Series.

  • those hi hats are as old as i am!

  • im pretty sure its pie-stee

  • @AntiWoofProductions1:

It is pronounced "pie-stee" but I've been saying it like that for so long and everyone in my area does too that it's hard to pronouce it correctly.

  • Thanks but my camera doesn't have an mic input jack. I wish it did. The next video camera I get will have one though. I have a gig tonight and won't bother to bring the camera because it will just end up shutting off. Thanks for watching.
