I'm definately partial to Paiste. I just love the sound and think they make a superior quality cymbal. They cost a little bit more money though. Thanks for watching and go Paiste all the way.
Yeah, I know. I've always pronouced that way for years without anyone correcting me until youtube. There was no internet or youtube for about the first 20 years that I was playing the drums, so it never came up. Check out the comments on my drum videos. Half of the comments tell me I'm pronouncing it wrong or they tell me how to pronounce it right. Thanks for watching.
I know. I get bombarded with this all the time. It's just the way I have pronounced it for 25 years or more. I've heard other people pronounce it "payst". Now. I knew that was wrong. Also, my subscribers know that I pronounce it that way and most of my videos are not about drums so they don't really notice. If I make any more videos referring to my cymbals I will definately pronounce it correctly. Thanks for watching.
@101point5TMG um its german it says ON THE CYMBAL made in germany. research before you insult, and swiss people are practically germans aswell they all speak german
@paisteboy my comment makes perfect sense, maybe if you didnt beat the shit out of your kit and played a little quiter the camera wouldnt turn off, sorry if playing with dynamics is a little too difficult.
I've been pronouncing it that way for 27 years. It's too late to change now. Especially since I refer t myself on Youtube as Paisteboy and have said it that way in a lot of my videos. I've know about this for over 20 years, but a lot of people in my area still said it the way I do, so it was never corrected.
I've had those pedals longer than I've had the kit and they work perfect. I bought the kit in 1995 too. I also have a newer 5000 double pedal that I occasionally use.
Wow. that's a tough one. I bought the drums back in 1995 and I worked for the drum store where I bought them and got a better deal thatn ussual so it's hard to guess 15 years later. I would say maybe around 2500 to 3 grand for the drums only.
A short time after I bought the hi hats I attempted to clean them starting with the top hat and the cleaner stripped the finish off of the cymbal so I've been playing with the bottom hat on top since about 1994.
I'm getting pounded for my mispronouciation of Paiste. I didn't realize how many people even realized it was pronouced like that. Thanks for watching.
Those aluminum discs were a good idea. I especially like the 4" one. Great drum kit too by the way. I also play Paiste. but i use 2002 series and Signature series mostly.
I've always liked the crack of a piccolo snare that's why I have one. I don't always have it quite that poppy though. I tuned it higher for a cover tune that I was playing at that time.
i am looking for a dw kit of roughly the same size, how much did this kit cost, just an average price would be ok, what series of dw are these as well,
Well for starters I bought the kit in 1995 and I worked at the store from where I purchased them, so I got a great discount. I'm sure they were a lot cheaper back then too. I Think it was around $6000.00 back then (if I add in the pedals and hardware) , but I would have to guess that today the same setup would be 10 to 12 grand. It has been 15 years now in May.
Thanks but my camera doesn't have an mic input jack. I wish it did. The next video camera I get will have one though. I have a gig tonight and won't bother to bring the camera because it will just end up shutting off. Thanks for watching.
you're obsessed with these but you dont know how to pronounce them.. its pie-stee
