Tyrese isn't an Idiot. Awkward, introsepective self deprecating styles of humor,are things that are culturally afforded through many generations of economic independence, middle class lifestyle. The greatest comedians of our era are black.

Certain aspects of comedy are cultural, but real funniness is truly universal.
