this place is where in 2005 the military developer corp Raytheon sent people to investigate what was after a giant magnetic anomaly 500 meters under ice found by Nasa, they sent an hercules jumbo as well possible carrying out an object which is most likely what was behind this.

I had always wondered what Mcmurdo base looked like. I was expecting it to be more military like, but since it's in the Antarctic I guess this makes more sense.
