No one would want to place a raw whole egg in their mouth. PLUS - after each egg is produced from the person's mouth - the mouth can be kept open to show it is EMPTY. You could NOT do that if you had a real egg or even a fake egg in your mouth.
Yes you can walk up to or call up someone from your audience. Make a spell and turn them into a human hen! Produce egg after egg, or ping pong balls. Once you have our special gimmick and the instructions which explain how you do it. Remember though, all magic is illusion!

Very good. Seems like the 'silent film' or 'mime' style acting is what makes it really work as much as the actual jiggery pokey with the egg.
