I'm dissapointed every band I've heard on Relapse up to this was exceptional. Man Must Die, Revocation, Dying Fetus etc. These guys aren't good at anything that I can hear in this song.

song is great, but its their slowest song on the album! When I first heard of Nasum, I was told they were brutally grindcore, then I saw this as my first listen and was just... well not what I expected. Later on I heard Helvete in its entirety and HOLY SHIT! Then I got Shift and HOLY SHIT! Anyway, as a first listen to Nasum, this isnt the best. Any other song off any album and you got yourself some INTENSE grindcore!

song is great, but its their slowest song on the album! When I first heard of Nasum, I was told they were brutally grindcore, then I saw this as my first listen and was just... well not what I expected. Later on I heard Helvete in its entirety and HOLY SHIT! Then I got Shift and HOLY SHIT! Anyway, as a first listen to Nasum, this isnt the best. Any other song off any album and you got yourself some INTENSE grindcore!

Punk has it's foundations and prototypes dating back to the 60s and 70s, Emo was a genre made up by a few hardcore bands members when they felt the genre was going stale. Emo has nothing to do with Grindcore at all. Actually, Emo started in the mid-80s. Napalm Death, the band that coined the term Grindcore and pioneered the sound (along with others) started in 1981.

@Unframed i kno dude, but the original emo AND hardcore wave started everything that is here today, emo and hardcore came wayy before grindcore, which means emo and hardcore came before crust punk, some of the earliest forms of crust punk are Amebix, but they didnt turn full crust punk till the late 80s dude to the heavy influence and infusion of bands like the misfits which are some of the earliest forms of the hardcore and emo scene.
