  • lol, somebody's lying about something here

  • It is so werid going into Vancouver and not seeing the Stadium Poofy Marshmellow Top! :) I remember when it was inflated\built back in 1983! ... yes long ago, but the roof was nearing the end of the expected life span. At least the new panel will have arrived early next week, and hopefully by two weeks it will all be back to "normal"

  • @aidanchick No you don't remember it being inflated, you're only 28 years old. Do the math!

  • It is so werid going into Vancouver and not seeing the Stadium Poofy Marshmellow Top! :) I remember when it was inflated\built back in 1983! ... yes long ago, but the roof was nearing the end of the expected life span, good thing this happened now instead of during the olympics which are going to be heald in there for opening and closing ceremonies in 2010.

  • RE: BC. Place Stadium

What do you idiots expect from a coliseum built before Christ.

  • chinguen a su madre gringos putitos come mecos

  • Must be from all the hot-headed sportards.

  • LOL. That looks so awesome. WOOOOOOO

  • callaos todos, imbéciles

  • She comes to my house... I will fnck her and sale her pictures on the net.

  • GAY... WHY DO I CARE!!!!

  • turn the A/C off dummies..

  • shit not bad

  • I think I heard on the radio that they are waiting for a new part of the roof to come in from mexico right now.

  • After movin g to Vancouver from small town Saskatchewan it just boggles my mind how un-prepared it is to handle anything. What if the waether is like this during the olympics? We are we paying for games when there are so obviously many other priorities this city needs to take care of?

  • Looks like it just needs a roof...*shrugs*

Fix the damn thing...Hell here in America...Mexicans could repair that roof in like 3 weeks.

  • At least mexicans are pasty fat lazy like you

  • Um...I meant nothing bad by it (for whatever you were trying to say)...Just a simple fact and/or observation...I'm a steel Worker actually by trade while you are going on abount some BS...If you need a steel mill fixed that blew up or something...Call me.

  • fuck you gay motherfucker chupame la verga puto de mierda

  • fuck you gay motherfucker chupame la verga joto

  • sigh I didn't even see it go down. I saw it today when I was at false creek this morning, at dragonboat practice.

  • God forbid something really serious should hit this city. A liitle storm ..lights go out, some extra rain..you can't drink the water, four inches of snow and not a plough in site - even on the major roads. We have the most f...ing incompetent emergency services you can ever imagine. This is truly a third-world country.

Someone needs to tell these people that men went to the moon almost 40 years ago...and returned alive.

  • Heh, what's funny is if the Olympics come around in 2010 and the city has to shut down because of the snow. Imagine the global headlines. Canadians can't handle the snow during the Winter Olympics. :)

  • I so agree!n The City really needds to get its priorities straight. Update its services and take care of its own people before they start blowing money on games it can't seem to afford. Even though the rich people here have more wealth then they know what to do with!

  • it happened because the stupid winds

  • Nice, I was downtown at the time and didnt even notice lol

  • Any videos of it collapsing?

  • Silly question, but why didn't it deflate quicker? Oh, and if you guys need a hand fixing it I'll come over and help :)

  • All of the extra air in the entire stadium had to empty out through that "little" hole for the roof to drop all the way down. Think of how long a balloon takes to deflate through the nozzle. ...Imagine what the wind must have felt like inside the stadium! Rushing out of the bathrooms, the concourse, and up out of the ceiling.

(the guy who originally shot the footage is "skokenblades", he's got an extra 2 videos of it on his YouTube channel)

  • It was suppsoedly a bunch of ice and snow falling down the west side of the roof, and ended up cutting a 3 foot slit down the side. the air pressure inside the dome forced the hole tog et bigger, and the wind took care of the rest.

  • Hopefully, ppl will fix it asas

  • I hope it wasn't the snow that caused it to happen. I swear our city turns to chaos with a single snow flake.

  • So funny and yet so true... I live in the Lower Mainland and I once heard a radio DJ say that someone once threw a snow cone out of their car window and drivers in Vancouver immediately started having accidents.

  • wicked...and sad
