I'm surprised how well Jozef understands/speaks english in 86 - because here in communist Czechoslovakia (split into Czech republic and Slovakia in 1993) we were forced to learn Russian until the "Velvet revolution" of 1989..
While many here are emphasizing the two-footing of the quad, I would like to draw their attention to the fact that he lands his quads, fully and completely rotated as you can see around 0:30. This is rare, even today.
around 3 minutes in is Josef skating to the song "American in Paris"?? it sounds so familar! Jumpin' Joe came to my local skating show years ago! He is incredibe
@aussieskates Indeed you are correct, the quad was two footed. However, I did like Sabovcik's skating. As for the choreography, well yes, you are both right and wrong. The 80's were definately the decade of jump, jump, jump and little choreography in men's skating, but if you go back a decade to the 70's you find skaters like John Curry, Toller Cranston and Robin Cousins - and you can't say their programmes were empty of choreography.

Wow, what a lousy 2nd half of the program. 6.0 technical mark for that program? the 1st 3 jumps were great ...the rest lousy.

Well 2 footed but still I'd give him credit.

I loved Jumping Joe, he was one of my favourite skaters ever, but I am afraid that quad toe loop was two footed.

Wow, CBS really bombed in terms of choosing a commentators duo.

Wow, Scott Hamilton looks about 17 here.
That quad was so two footed.
The free foot scraped the ice the way Mike Weiss used to jump one.
Skating has changed so much since then. It was so empty choreographically.
