Anyway, Tour is not the hardest race in the world. giro and vuelta are more difficult. and he's never tried to win them. indurain won 5 tours and 2 giro=7. pantani 1 tour and 1 giro.

bigger chance of pantani being "doped", being italian. and armstrong wasn't a noone before the cancer. he was a very good cyclist for classics. after the cancer he had lost a lot of weight that he couldn't lose before the illness. that's why he "suddenly" became a brilliant mountain climber. now i don't say that I'm 100% sure lance didn't use drugs. but i really hope not.

stop man, you r the only one talking like that...pantani is the stronger climber ever, for istance: he climbed alp d'uez in 37'35'', and lance in 37' 36'' (and fuck, lance rode an individual time trial !!!). Lance rode only Tours in his career, pantani or indurain rode tour, giro, vuelta. and they won all of them!

finally, if you really love lance, ok... i can understand why you talk like that..but objectively thare's no way to contradict the fact that marco,miguel, are much more better.

lance may be the best tour rider ever, but that would be TRULY amazing because all the other big tour winners took loads of drugs (except I think lemond in '86) so if he didn't he would be truly a first. So many facts are staring you in the face. if he is NOT a druggy THAT is amazing. and given the testimony that even close confidante's have given about him (to be silenced via cheque out of court) you would have to be truly a fool to think the best tour rider ever was drug free.

no bkermike...MANY cyclists doped for years without ever getting caught...and lance actually did get caught when a french lab in 2005 did some tests on frozen urine samples from 1999 where they were able to connect 6 of the samples to lance armstrong and they showed he had used EPO. they couldnt use this in court tho.

I don't care what Lance said after it happened, I know what he did to win that stage: He stared down the opposition and Ullrich, demoralizing them with his Jeordi Laforge-type look, putting the fear into their eyes.

Hehe, perhaps that is a bit of a stretch, as I am likely biased being an American and all. Without doubt, Ullrich is one of the greatest men to ever pedal a bike, as well as some of the other big names that year.
