  • kris is a badass he seriously needs to go back to doing shit like this

  • Kris Norris and Ryan Parrish now that's a combination :D Imagine that

  • i wonder why he left darkest hour if he's just gonna make songs that sound like vintage darkest hour

  • @daiselol he had a baby and couldnt tour anymore

  • @daiselol doesn't sound vintage to you?? or do you mean like sadist nation?

  • Kris shreds, wonder the snow didn't melt this is a great track, very enjoyable, :)

  • kris norris is underrated as an influential guitarist!

  • This shit kills me!!

I can so hear John Henry screaming in this song

Ugh! Darkest Hour once held the greatest guitarist..

    Still my favorite band

    FTW

  • Those who dislikes this are just mad because he is as awesome without Darkest Hour as he was with them. Go Kris!

  • Can we knock that "I'm a redneck" part off the top of the comments list?

  • @djd259th Why you mad Bro?

  • @Pianoblacks Not mad. That was my sad attempt at humor. Don't worry, I won't try it again.

  • Kris Norris is definitely one of my favorite guitarists. He captivates his own style with out a doubt.

  • To the "they're not plugged in" people. You don't watch many music videos do you?

  • @HelpOrWhat that's amazing and you are a god. Thanks!

  • @PACZILLA403 No problem man, doing it for fun :)

  • @PACZILLA403 Alright, I'm done! The tabs should be on the Ultimate-Guitar site by the next 48 hours!

  • they're not even plugged in

  • สุดยอดครับ ชอบมาก

  • I like how there all jamming with not a single instrument plugged in =D

  • Is this in Step Down tuning, Drop C or 1/2 Step Down? Anyone?

  • @PACZILLA403 It's Kris, so probably Drop C.

  • @PACZILLA403 Its Drop C, I am working with tabs for this :) Will take a while to do the solo.

But, I got everything else tabbed, just give me some time and I will write the tabs on my computer and send it to you ;)

  • 2:33

    GAHHHHHHHH DRUMS D:

  • The drummer may be good but Ryan Parrish is WAY better... I miss Kris Norris in Darkest Hour because they complimented one another quite a bit...

  • Drumming is wearing a Dillinger shirt! oh yeah!

  • What brand of strings does kris use?

  • Sorry everybody but if I had to choose to save Kris Norris or Darkest Hour....it would most definitely be Kris Norris's Darkest Hour.

  • i'm not saying he's a douche though.. but he's definitely very different from the other dudes on a personal level.. and those things tend to get very important aswell when you're touring pretty much constantly..

  • the riff @ 1:40 is straight up DH style magic.

  • He's even more impressive now than he was with Darkest Hour.

  • @djd259th You dont know what you're talking about.

  • I like lonestar but kris norris was the shit. I definetly love the new DH album, its better than eternal return in my opinion!

  • nothing wrong with triggering a drum kit...it's takes the place of mics, can be setup before hand to create a mix that the drummer wants, and it helps with smooth response from the kit

as far as what you hear on recordings in the metal genre, most drums are simulators via plugins anyway, unless it's a band who has money to throw down on good drum recordings, mixing, and mastering...which the majority of people that say they can "record your band" can't do

    kris norris can jam :)

  • I miss kris norris in darkest hour

  • WOW!

  • The drummer is wearing a DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN sweatshirt. So metal.

Also, @whitelinedrifter: This isn't rock and roll, this is metalcore at its finest!

  • The drummer is wearing a DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN sweatshirt. So metal!

  • The rhythm guitarist is playing an Ibanez Gio?

  • Kris man, what are you doing? WHY!!!! Why leave Darkest Hour? Just not the same without you. You are a musical genius but you have pulled the same shit as other incredible guitarist in the past like Slash and look how Slash's Snake Pit turned out. I mean c'mon buddy, get back to you being you and bring back the darkness of darkest hour.

  • @Hoop99

it's funny that you think he left...

  • @HeavyNutsTube Did he get kicked out? Thought he left for family issues and to pursue other music like his ambient band. If he got kicked out, bad choice on DH's part.

  • @Hoop99

i'm not sharing stuff on here that was trusted to me by the dudes themselves... but let's just say that Lonestar is a nice dude to be around.

  • @HeavyNutsTube Good Call. I was raised to not judge people but Kris definitely comes off being an asshole. So if it is because he was a douche bag, makes sense.

  • I love most of Kris Norris's guitar work, but this song is utterly repetitive for the first minutes and a half.

  • @junkman25 It's hard not sound repetitive without a vocalist because vocals would cover the riffing....But regardless Kriss is awesome and doesn't need as far as I'm concerned

  • I wish there was lyrics..still totally awesome!

  • Wish he still played for darkest hour, he is still awesome though :D

  • Kris Norris is Chuck Norris' son...

  • KRIS NORRIS!!!!!!!!!!!

  • does anybody know who the other guitarist is? it's been bothering the shit out of me...

  • Good, but this guy should so go back with Darkest Hour. Mike Carrigan is good but I prefer Kris Norris by far ... :/ and this song does sound like DH.

  • What a viking bullshit! this is boring music, its messy as fuck!

  • Not usually the style of music I listen too, but that was good. Very good.

I appreciate your guitar style and precision.

JamPlay ... you guys rocked on this vid!

    Yup, it's favorited.

    Keep it up Kris.

  • I LOVE THE SKILLZ OF KRIS AND THE MOST APPROPRIATE PLACE HE CAN PLAY IS DOWN THE SLOPS ON A SNOWBOARD, MAYBE NEXT VIDEO

  • Tabs any1?

  • Brutal drumming!!!

  • freeze hands "imposible"

    the songs rulz

  • anyone know what his gloves say?

  • @Estill01 0:16 it says iron the other one may say fist

  • @Estill01 glove mute :))))

  • 0:30 thumbs up for etneis!!!

  • garbage music.

  • @

    *Yawn*

  • 2:34 the drummer's face is hilarious

  • Comment removed

  • Sweeping in the cold. Damn! :D

  • Where they are come from? They looks like Canadian. Anyway, the song is really great C:

  • @SilenceXCore you are an idiot. and Kris is from Florida

  • @TaNNerThEbAMf I'm not idiot as you said. I'm just someone who wants to learn. Idiots don't want to learn.

  • wow this is like august burn red without vocals....i luv it :)

    @assfuck37 yeah i thought that too :D

  • sir, there is snow on the ground

  • it would be awesome if they had a singer but then again, this song is kickass without one already

  • why..... why leave darkest hour then go create darkest hour 2.....sounds just like darkest hour shit minus the blast beats at the end.... but seriously....I just dont get it....I want to quit my already successful band to go start a cover band OF! my ex band...Ya, brilliant

  • @TriviumCrusader17 I think he quit because he had a kid or something.

  • @TriviumCrusader17 fuckin retard.. learn some facts b4 you start posting your random subjective opinion im sure almost none of us KN fans agree with.. and if you do agree with above stated bullshit then you arent a fan of KN

  • @TriviumCrusader17 pure fail fag

  • does anyone else think the drummer looks like KillrBuckeye!? :o

  • Damn, i love how they film the sweep part in the solo

  • Dude! That would so hard to play guitar with numb fingers.

  • u guys r fucking dumb. i can play this song on the drums wit ease. he dont use triggers. i have shitty pearl pedals n i can play this so shut the fuck up

  • u guys r fucking dumb. i can play this song on the drums wit ease. he dont use triggers. i have shitty pearl pedals n i can play this so shut the fuck up

  • u guys r fucking dumb. i can play this song on the drums wit ease. he dont use triggers. i have shitty pearl pedals n i can play this so shut the fuck up

  • The drummer has to get snow all over his pedals and drums.. no wonder he's not smiling.

  • well as long as there still shredding i really dont care whether they smile or not

  • wtf, your are not supposed to smile in a metal video! haha (2:21)

  • damn i wanna download this! anybody know where i can get it?

I love kris norris He was great in Darkest Hour amazing guitarist

  • Kris Norris Giant

  • I am glad this dude was in Darkest hour, he did a great job there, and left a good impression on me, so now I know who he is :)

  • SIIICK

  • at 41 seconds you can see a random glove on the ground. lol

  • @damnationofsociety its the guitarists loll

  • @UKrocketeer probably, i know i couldnt play with cold hands.

  • @damnationofsociety that glove is the guitarists fret hand glove

  • @dravensk8 i bet, it sucks tryin to play with frozen hands.

  • They play it without amp :)

    btw nice music

  • lololololo true that, but it's just a music video.

  • I'm a Redneck, and love country music. A friend told me about this and I think its great. Not sure what you all mean by triggering the drum, but I think the drummer is kick ass. Outstanding rock and roll. Thanks to youtube and the people that post these songs, otherwise I would never be able to listen to such a wide varity of music. Hope to find the album someday.

  • @whitelinedrifter Triggering means to have a computer generate the same exact pitch for every hit, no matter how hard you hit it. That ensures perfect flow and sound, as well as control. It also allows you to go extremely fast.

  • @whitelinedrifter triggers are basically pressure sensitive devices attached to the drum heads that send a signal everytime the drum head is hit. they dont make you a faster drummer as some claim. but they do create uniformity and clarity in the sound.

  • @whitelinedrifter

Triggering drums is basically a sensor that goes off when you hit the drum, and "triggers" and electronic drum sound. People use it alot to get more of a "pop" bass drum sound instead of a "BOOM." Ignorant people claim its cheating and makes you faster though.

  • @whitelinedrifter Dude, I live in the northwest. It's nice to see a country bumpkin with a brain for once.

  • @xXDandZXx I just like music. I think it's funny how some people argue about something like triggering or non triggering. If you like it , great. If not, listen to something else. The drummer may or may not use triggers, but his hands fly. The song kicks ass and I like it. I wish I could play music but I never could learn how. It doesn't matter to me if it is rap, classical, the blues, anything. There is only two kinds of music, good and bad. This is very good music to me.

  • @whitelinedrifter triggering the drums is when they use a soft wear to make the drums sound perfect. (other words hes not playing the drums for real) is pretty much cheating but alot of drummers only use them for albums and not live shows.

  • @Mikewuzzhurr that's a gross oversimplification. drum triggers help make a drummers sound more smooth. which is why drummers are playing faster and faster parts now. some drummers are just plain fast, but also i think some abuse it though.

  • @a7court well i was tryin to say that. but yeah what that guy said.

  • 1:39 - 2:15 simply amazing

  • could listen to this aw day.

  • Me too man, I need to try and get my hands on the full album

  • @MetalRoss12321 ddnt know they had one. will need to look out for it.

  • Yeah, I've been trying to get it for ages with no luck.

  • there nothin about an album on there page. so it looks like we will just have to download their songs from you tube.

  • Says it was filmed in Kent, Ohio. That is where I live...how the fuck did I not know about this?

  • kris is wearing at the gates!! you can here on his riffs agression

  • amazing! Love ur music Kris!!!!

  • is it just me or is the other guy using like a 200 dollar ibanez gax, maybe he didn't want to take a nice guitar out into the snow...

  • WOW, awesome...

  • This is great Kris!!!!

  • Wow, Kris is such a bad ass.

  • fk kris, mad rep to the drummer..

  • ur an idiot

  • @EMGge

Dude no offence, but the drummer really isn' that good..

He triggered his drumkit and still he's not very impressing :)

  • Comment removed

  • What's wrong with triggering a drum kit ?

  • Most people just seem to think its lazy or summit.

But as a drummer i don't see this as true. Those who do trigger mostly trigger the bass drum because that's the most difficult to capture using a mic.

  • @ap3xultima depends on the mic. lol. Triggering the set or just the bass drum, makes it sound more solid. It makes all the hits sound the same. Sounds insane when the whole kits triggered, black metal uses it alot.

  • HAHA i just noticed after watching the video 5 times that they dont have any vocalist :P. Just proves how good the band is!

  • The Lamb of God vocalist screams on two songs off the album.

  • Killer song!

  • the bass when it booms is awesome alot of good work cool song

  • this would be so much more badass with vocals

  • It's good, but it gets kind of repetitive. It would be better suited with vocals, or, if keeping it instrumental, make it a bit more progressive.

  • my thoughts exactly

  • I really wish this video would capitalize on showing what this music makes you imagine!.....but I guess that would be pretty indescribable. (Depending how much of your soul you put into his music)

  • This guy is fucking great ,and I don't dig a lot of newer players. Great original riffs.

  • did kris cut his hair?

  • kris norris is an awesome guitarist. But I still think this song isn't good enough to stand on its own as an instrumental, it really needs vocals in my opinion

  • I think this song was written for guitar players to play...

The album is much more tech than this song but i think this song was put on there A. cos it sounds great but also B. for fans to play along to.

  • fucking love............ kris norris hes an awsome guitar player to bad he left darkest hour

  • darkest hour with out him is just "meh" to me now. I swear he was the brains behind their music, you just know this would totally be a DH song if he was still in the band.

  • 100% on that, man.

  • fuckin sic song. love the tone of the guitars.

  • I think the only thing they need to be better appreciated these musician Kris Norris is an excellent guitarist yet I have not seen anything of the concert with his band I'm a fan of darkest hour for an hour he left the band to do their own work and is a great album hope to make a video for Foolish Remaining

  • heyy shawnn! awesome jod!! i love itt =) --- ur sis dawn

  • He should have had Randy Blythe do some guest vocals on this song too, I could totally see it, it would fit him pretty good.

  • i read he actually wanted vocals on this album

  • Just what i need to practice screaming! This is so nice!

  • this is sooooooo fking nice ^^

  • The guitar tabs ?? can i find them from somewhere??

  • how do i download the song in mp3??

  • You can get it on Amazon MP3 or iTunes.

  • How about the guitar tabs??

  • sick shit in my face. i love a mans ass.

  • cool.

  • faggot, ama kill u when i find u nigga!

  • Kris completely diserves his own solo project. He always had such a unique sound and does probably some of the cleanest sweep picking I have ever heard.

  • sick shit.

  • Awesome, nice job!!!

    Instrumentalmetal rocks******

  • Comment removed

  • ke buena rola wee...............

  • i hope that kris can find alot of success now that hes left darkest hour

hes a great musician and deserves the success, he was the key element to darkest hour's sound

  • too bad they wouldn't let him get vox would've been great...well hopefully godless symphony kicks some ass...

  • I didn't realize it was him who filled in for D. Coyle (God Forbid) on the Lamb of God tour. He did a hell of a job! He'd be a great permanent addition to the band, too bad he was only filling for the tour

  • " 1:20 is just like Trivium - "Gunshot to he head f trepidation" kinda but not really but he is better than trivium...they just rip off Metallica.

  • Why the hell did I get thumbed down?

  • holy shit.. this is ballin.. xD

  • 1:20 is just like Trivium - "Gunshot to he head f trepidation, its good and he's a very talented artist no problems with that but, he needs some individuality and picking back with a band again could only be a good thing.

  • he should have become a solo artist long ago

  • why he is so.. normal, maybe a new band then lol.

  • I'd have to disagree with you..I heard both songs and the octaves are not only different but they are strummed fast unlike the Trivium song you mentioned the octaves are just held out in whole notes..And you say that like he went and listened to a Trivium song and copied it..this guy has been around before the band members of Trivium were even born and I doubt he wastes his time listening to their songs.

  • Orgasmic.

    ESP FOR LIFE.
