This thing is the cheapest crap ever. It's so flimsy and cheap plasticy, it's not even funny. and it came broken (interesting, a friend of mine ordered one aswell and it was broken, too). I had to repair the landing gear and even open up the transmitter to fix a broken stick.
After two flights it wouldn't even charge anymore (no crashes, I own several of these tiny helis).
So hands off, better get one of the slightly larger ones off amazon.
to obtain this control a second person with remote set to same channel is needed (not shown). Every course change requires a change to the trim control. thus one person to operate height and direction and another person to constantly monitor and adjust the trim control. If you can do this you can achieve the same level of control that thinkgeek shows in this video. why do you think camera quickly shifts away from other person in the video
I've had 2 of them shipped to me so far and it seems to be extremely cheap quality. After charging and trying to flip the helicopter to "On" it still doesn't work.
@ShiffyStudios Just had mine arrive in the mail, followed the directions to set it up, charged till the green light went off, and nada. My concern/question is how do you tell if its in the on or off position on the helicopter? The switch is horrible, whether I wiggle it left or right it reverts back to the middle, so I can't really tell whether its thinking its on or off and I don't want to break it
Why does mine just spin on the floor (clockwise) I've pressed the L button and even tried holding the right stick all the way to the left but it just spins before take off...I had it flying for about 1 min but after a pretty small crash it kept doing this...anyone?
Just got mine...it is NOT radio, it is IR....buyer beware....kinda cheap quality but it flies pretty good...I was able to trim it out and fly it across the office and back before a coworker shot it out of the sky with a nerf dart lol....it crashed pretty hard into my desk and my monitors and didn't break anything so....for the price, not bad
Just got mine in the mail yesterday, it's pretty awesome. I haven't had an RC chopper before though, so I keep crashing it as I'm learning the controls and fixing the trim on it. Though I may just need a bigger room to practice in. 8/
One thing I can say for it right off the bat though, is that it's a sturdy little thing - I keep bashing it into walls or sending it skittering across the floor every 10 seconds or so, and it's still in one piece. XD
Looks much more stable than the last few micro choppers I got, and it pitches forward nicely. How smooth is backwards movement, and how often do you need to trim? All the choppers I've had have been quite slow going backwards, and the trim needs fixing every 20 seconds, give or take.
I had one of these for a few months (until a rambunctious 5 year old got a hold of it at a Christmas party) and loved it. Personally, I like it more than the new "gyro" model that I replaced it with. Unlike the 2-channel models, you tilt the heli to move it forward and back (instead of always coasting forward) and the counter-rotating blades keep it from turning left and right without much trim adjustment as the battery wears down. The controls are progressive and smooth. Very fun toy.
Never mind, pointless anyway... I thought maybe it was me at first, but after letting this charge for an hour each time, it never improved beyond hovering for more than 20-30 seconds, at MOST. After that, it's a very slow and steady decline, never lifting... this thing has a VERY poor battery life.
@patricknelson generally things with short charge times are meant to stay on the charger for only short times. I have noticed with my various tech that if you keep it on the charger too long, the batteries degrade.
Does anyone know the exact brand or model number for the propellers? I might need a rear propeller replacement soon (just bought it and it busted as soon as I crashed it for the first time, FML).
I liked this toy at first but then quickly became dissapointed, The battery only gave me around 3 min of flight time and it dies slowly, so you have to constantly adjust the trim t compensate for the loss of power and it started taking a really long time to charge. I bumped it into my wall and damaged it somehow. now all it will do is lift off and spin in circles no matter what. I guess it was worth it for the price def is not built to last.
One of your gears is jammed via the chasis, same thing happened to me. Attempt to loosen the chasis a bit and it will stop spinning. The battery is meh :/
This is the best little 3ch helicopter out there, & I have bought a bunch. Quiet, accurate, & with a quick charge it's really cool. This my only mini I can get to fly in a straight line back & forth accross my living room. This heli is definitely one of the good ones, highly recommend it!
ok I just got mine. Took a few tries but it fly's beautifully.[I found it easier launching it from my palm]In all, the body of the Heli is well protected and flexible, meaning it bounces off everything with no worries, only one real flaw is the tale rotary-blade,which is not protected and is very brittle.[kit comes with one spare tail rotary-blade] :( I'm scared to use it again cause I wuv it..but will try it soon over some grass..[I mean grass in a park! :P
I just ordered one of these. I'm hoping it have better directional stability than the 735-Set. Interesting it have a stabilizer bar for each blade instead of just one.
just got this heli a day ago and flew in a room with a 50 foot ceiling. it's quite stable like the video. i need practice but i like this thing. thinking about getting another one; you know for spare.
Do they sell parts for this little thing?

@illtriniboy the instructions say to try to keep it at the same altitude and steady. I have the the same problem, but sometimes I can get it to stop.
