  • what does paul say at 6:00 ?

  • His accent was very strong there..and he seems to have a really good sense of humor. i loved gnomeo and juliet very cute movie.

  • "(...) I'm still in the depths of hairdressing hell."

  • At first I was really confused - why would his stylist give him a flower pin?

But then I realized that they all had 'em... XP

  • @KaikiTsuki49 It's a Poppy...it's in honour of Rememberance Day.

  • James McAvoy is gorgeous

  • Wow, I've only seen Wanted and he is so different from that wow.

  • I love him so much, everything he does is so different and interesting. amazing

  • <3 James!!

  • James is such a sweetheart. And what an AMAZING actor he is. My favourites: Atonement, The Last King of Scotland, Starter for 10, Becoming Jane, Shameless, MacBeth (SR). Can't wait for The Last Station and The Conspirator. Keep your eye on the Oscar podium. He's going to be there sooner than you think. :))))

  • James McAvoy? Scottish ;)

  • @EmlinTheGremlin003 i thot he was from england... guessing you did tooo

  • @mississlowcheetah paul o'grady is scouse. yes.

  • Why does this have a one star rating?

  • why all these british talk show wearing this red flower pin? by the way love you, jamesxoxo

  • The poppy is worn in remembrance of those who fought for the allied forces during World War 2 as they grew on the fields where the battles were fought. It's mostly a British thing. I think that Remembrance Day is around early November, if I'm not mistaken. I lived in England for three months and everyone wore them.

  • The week of November 11th

And it's for all soliders that have died during any of the British wars...not just WWII

  • They are poppies for Remembrance Day. To remember the soldier that died during the wars.

They don't wear them year round...just for like a week out of the year

  • They wear the red flower for remembrance/armistice day (to remember all of the soldiers who fought in the war.)

  • I LOVE JAMES

  • This may sound odd but i really fancy Paul O'Grady and he's old enough to be my Grandad.

  • I didn't realize how thick his accent is. He does American great.

  • i seen him. his nice x

  • "don't get my wrong, i love a bit of jennifer"

i LOVE my name haha :)

  • Gagothesith and alexxandria why the hell are you fighting by comments??? i agree with gago in the fact that you are an absolute arsehole who cant keep her thoughts to herself so can you shut up?

  • Paul's a legend

  • thanks for this!! He's absolutely amazing and gorgeous! fantastic actor! i love it at 5.21 he waves at the telly for his nan :)

  • 'Because the films rubbish and we didn't want you to give it a bad review' :D

  • what the heck did he say at 4:05 ?? im usually good at this...

  • Now that is one IRRELEVANT-THUS-INCOHERENT supposed-response--one good reason for YOU to, as you like telling other people, "SHUT UP".

Or was that meant to have been a reply to FRECKLES81 below, not to ZEROMYERZ above? AIRHEAD indeed.

  • I hate to say it but

1 the correct word is "effeminate"

    and

2 not every culture expects its males to be roaring-strutting machos.

By your standards, nearly every male in Western Europe and in every Central Asian country with languages spoken in a high pitch is effeminate.

  • 1 There you go again, ARROGANT IN YOUR IGNORANCE--behold your arrogant defence of your ignorance.

'asssume'? 'unecesarilly'? What is your first language? What sidewalk vendor purveyed your education?

2 Indeed, nobody knows you--beyond the 'standards' you yourself have revealed in your own statements. And based on the stupidity and arrogance they reveal, nobody in his right mind would want to get to know you further either.

Go ahead, keep digging yourself deeper into the hole.

  • 1 If you MUST string together a few highfalutin words, you should at least LEARN HOW TO SPELL.

2 The fact remains that the correct word is 'effeminate' (just as it is 'presumptuous', not 'presumptuos'; and 'intellect', not 'intelect').

So who has the pea-sized presumptuous insecure asshole intellect now--you've won the labels all to yourself hands down.

3 It is irrelevant--therefore NOBODY GIVES A DAMN--that you are 'one of his most avid fans (get caps lock and 1 key stuck here).

  • LOL - Intellect wars with a dyslexic

  • ALEXXANDRIA:

    > shut up

Only if a LOUD AIRHEAD such as yourself can manage doing it first.

  • There you go again.

1 Your own conduct here, and

2 your own conduct in your own video clips

PROVE that you are a LOUD AIRHEAD.

REALITY: loud airheads are not in a position to tell others what to and what not to do.

LEND ME YOUR WORDS: Shut up, LOUD AIRHEAD.

  • You can deny it all you want, but

    1 YOUR OWN VIDEO CLIP

    shows you as a LOUD AIRHEAD;

    and

2 YOUR OWN COMMENTS both in this thread and in your reply to ZEROMYERZ

show that you are an AIRHEAD.

LOUD AIRHEAD + AIRHEAD = LOUD AIRHEAD. The proof came from you--no way to dispute that.

  • i love james mcavoy...but what is he wearing?

  • a sweater with buttons on one shoulder--with the final one left unbuttoned

  • ha i know.

but i meant like...is he seriously wearing that?

i just dont like the sweater...its so...awkward looking.

  • I think it's the third interview I see him wearing that jumper :-)

  • clothes :L

  • it is catherine tate!

  • wen they showed the clip the girl in it looks like catherine tate....

  • i thought he sed he was 10 in 1990 lol hes so hot

  • what is his saying??!

    it really make me laugh!!

  • James McAvoy - sweet guy and great actor. This is a lovely interview.

  • his laugh is soo funny

  • Notice how, towards the end of the interview, he starts to adopt a slightly Northern accent off Paul - that 'cheers' at the end is very Yorkshire!

  • no cheers is a scotish word as well we say it alot for the word thanks we just say "Aye cheers mate".

  • Clumsy, embarrassed, innocent, sweet, generous, polite, blissfully nervous and fresh. James.

  • What the hell did James say? :-) Love him and that accent even though I can't understand half of what he's saying in non-american interviews. Its adorable...

  • I come from China.

And I like James and his films very much.

I really hope he can come to China,my home, someday!

  • :52-:55 lmao!

OMG!! LOVE how he refers to Friends at 3:04.

Ok, I'm confused. What movie are they talking about??

  • Starter for 10.

  • Ohhh. OK. Thanks.

  • does anyone have colin salmon on this show,he was wkd and i wanna see him playing again.

  • does anyone have colin salmon on this show, hes wkd cool! (and you can understand him when he speaks)

  • oh that james... so humble and hott ;)

  • this was a little hard to understand at times.

  • ohhh and how he says "girl" in his accent... love it!

  • I Love hearing him say "aye", its so cute.. he doesn't say it in american interviews.

  • I Love James.. He seems to be a very down to earth person, and you don't find that too much anymore. I also think he is very Funny and he should be on Saturday Night Live her in the US. I think he would be PERFECT for something like that!! Maybe get him doing some Comedy.

  • what movie are they talking about with the whole mullet thing? I don't remember that..

  • starter for 10 i got it out on a whim last summer i think r chrimbo ages ago and its brilliant

  • I love James, but that is just the wrong sweater to wear on TV :)

I also noticed him the most in the King of Scotland- soo good.

  • 52: makes me giggle! Unsure of what he said, but it was adorable! What a great guy he is! Very down-to-earth.

  • haha, cutest isnt he? :)

  • James is my favorite actor i absolutely love him i first noticed him in the last king of scotland and after that i jus fell in love with him as an actor and as a person

  • me too! i loved in him last king of scotland

  • me too! :D kind of late knowing him in atonement, he's really reallly goooddddd made me unsure if he's the same person playing the doctor in last king of scotland! he's changed for every role!

  • same case here,...i had seen James McAvoy in "Inside Im Dancing",but that was it.Then years later i saw him in "Chronicles of Narnia" n i had fell in luv with Mr.Tumnus.Later when i saw "Last king..." I was bowled over by him.Since then I have been absolutely in luv with him.

  • do you have the interview he had yesterday with Angela Lansbury?

  • Are they all wearing anzac poppy's?

  • I like Paul O Grady but the show is so

    BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORING

  • d'u guyz knw wht movie theyre talkin abt...???

  • There talking about Chronicals of Narnia :)

  • oh thnx i figured it out...it starters for 10 btw...lol

  • lol..... glad to help!!! :p

  • before i became a James fan i probably would have had a really hard time understanding these accents. but i'm amazed at how listening to him so often has made me used to it and much more able to comprehend accents! thanks for that, james... among many other things. :)

  • Ha ha, that's great that James has helped you understand the Scottish accent! Now you can pop across the pond for a visit ;-)

  • i plan to someday! as soon as i have the money. :)

  • ye, scottish accent is hard to understand!

  • that's a sexy sweater he's wearing.

  • His accent is so strong that sounds like rusian or german...

He's so cute, and i love scott/brit accent.

  • His accent is strong, I love it, even if I can't understand a thing he says, it just makes him sexier!!!!!

  • the red thing is a Poppy (for Remembrance day) where the Brits remember all those who died/fought in the Wars.

I must admit his accent is gorgeous!

Look at 06.20 when he does a great David Brent impression with his face lol!

  • I thought all Western countries did that? ... :D

  • Of course lol - See how I generalised there?- must slap my hand. :-) x

  • Haha. Okay, just wondering out loud. :)

  • I had no idea his wife was in The Magdalene Sisters! I should watch it again. That was a good movie.

  • hahaha theres like 4 lines in this interview i cant understand.. even after replaying it like 100 times ha.

  • What in the world is that red thing on his sweater? It looks like a felt pin shaped as either an apple or a flower.

  • Ahhhh James you played a Scot rent boy in The Bill!!

I remember VEEEERY well because i still have it on video and it's when I first fell in love with him! :D

  • i freakin' love this guy. he's amazing...and that accent, that accent, it's so hot!

  • is it really that hard 2 understand?

  • no he made compleate sense to me, but im a londoner and understand most accents

  • I suppose living in England gets us used to hearing english a lot so it's easier to understand accents.

  • paul o'grady is so funny true man of liverpool

  • I LUUUUUUUUUUUUUVVVVV HIIm

    ...and he's catholic too [y]

  • I love the bit at 0:54 makes me laugh

  • haha. i love this interwiew because i don't understand what they're saying throught the whole interview. haha.

  • :-D hes so cute. im frm glasgow and people say 'aye' all the time but not as cute as him...:-D

  • I love, love, love James McAvoy as an actor. He must be an amazing man too.!!!

  • he did NOT have a mullet in the film... lol

  • hahaha his accent! <3

  • Oooh, I love James McAvoy. It's not a Scottish show that he's on tho, it's the Paul O'Grady Show which is based in London, Paul's from Liverpool in England but the show is broadcasted all over the UK.

  • theyre poppies! to remember those who died in WW1 for nov 11th.

    he is fiiiiit

  • He's so cute and lovely and nervous and....!

  • What's with the rosettes? I noticed many British stars wearing them in interviews and to events last year. Was is it to represent those hurt and killed in the bombings?

  • they are worn for remembrance day out of respect for those killed during the war. i think anyway.

  • The are Remembrance Poppies - to represent the Fields of Flanders from the First World War. You will see them usually in the two weeks in the run up to November 11th every year, to remember all fallen in all conflicts past and present.

  • Oooh, thanks so much for enlightening me :)

  • I absolutely LOVE that he says "Aye". He's so Scottish! Absolutely fantastic.

  • Wow, this clip made me see that James tones down his Scottish accent on many interviews, but in this one, where he is on a Scottish show, he totally revs it up! This is the only interview where I hear him say "Aye", and he says it ALOT. It's brilliant! I love it! I adore and admire this man lots!

  • As point of fact - O'Grady is English (from Birkenhead - think Liverpool/ Merseyside) on ITV and then Channel 4, in England. James does accents extremely well, as covered in the interview. I suppose he feels comfortable to speak plainly on a British show?

  • I like James McAvoy he seems a nice person

  • that interviewer bothers me...

  • James knows his shit.

  • paul o grady always creeps up the guests arses,he get on me nerves, legend this legend that legend the other thats all tou ever here, everyones a legend,he even said it to jordan once, and when he shouts burt at the top of his lungs it rattles me brain ,he does it at least once every episode, good lord.

  • if you hate it so much then dont watch it

  • LMAO...I love your comeback...great stuff man, great stuff.

  • PS: Just a suck up, by the way Haha=P

  • Yes, he is special.

    Sweetness.

  • James McAvoy just turns me into a puddle of fan-girliness. *shake-fist in an affectionate way*

  • I fancy him.

  • What is he saying at 4:04? Love his accent but it's sometimes hard to understand... Thanks!

  • "it's because the film is rubbish and we didn't want you giving it a bad review!!"

  • Thank you!

  • Ann Marie is such a lucky woman !!

  • Why does everybody feel like they have to take a swing at Rome? What about JPII announcing that Iraq invasion was an "unjust war"? the irish church is a mess but its not the only place...spoken from irish catholic boston, and he's quite right about us being here, by the way

  • Oh so I just read some interview with the man who made the magdalene laundry film, and he if he said the demeaning and horrid things he about the catholics about any other religion he'd be pilloried. how is it that if you are a nasty fundamentalist on the other side you can get away with it?

  • james mcavoy *fangirls* he's so adorable

  • i absolutely love james mcavoy im obsessed

  • He is well fit. I just luuurvve him.

  • DAMN IT.

    he got hitched.

    D:

  • He doesn't look like a "naird" in Starter for 10, not even with a mullet.

  • I had no idea he was married! Darn. haha

I am in love with his accent

  • His face lit up when they started talking about his wife. Lucky lady. ;)

  • i can't believe he's married. i will believe it when he's married to me!

  • wow, hes really nice!!!(and fit)

  • It's from 6th Nov.

  • thanks for posting, does anyone know when this was broadcast?

  • He Is!! Gosh SOOOOO Fit!

  • He is unreal hot!!!
