  • Did you have permission to upload any of these songs?

  • @curtainjerker He's not selling them or claiming them as his own and it's unlikely the artists are loosing any money so what's the problem?

  • sampling is part of the business..... BTW.... that Genesis beat @ 3:15.... That's Hot Fun in The Summertime by Sly and The Family Stone....

  • I think the reason rap blew up is because it's easy. Anyone can do it, everyone can relate. It was the 1st type of music that a kid didnt have to spend 300 for a guitar, 3 years of practice, and find 3 other people that also put hundreds of dollars into there hobby with years of practice to form a band and put out a record. You could just bang on a trashcan and start flowin. So it grew fast. In todays rap game the talent/skill doesn't lie in the music itself but in the personality and the hustle

  • Uploader is a HATER. I am not for ripping off tracks, as I am a music producer. Sampling works very well in many cases.

  • genesis is the easiest to me...they all are obvious...great vid

  • sampling is not bad if you give credits to the artist you sampled.............

  • sampling and stealing is two different things

  • @wtfjaftw I didn't suggest it was hard. It just so happens that artists sometimes regurgitate what moves them. Sometimes its to pay homage and sometimes it's more of a rip-off but it happens a lot is all I am saying.

  • either ur a cracker ass crack or a rapper who never was probably both.

  • it's not stealing if its paid for.

  • lol the diddy one diddy has the rights jack ass

  • he may have had permission to sample it, but he doesn't have the RIGHTS to the song Kashmir by Led Zeppelin. they wouldn't sell the rights to a classic song to a rapper. but yeah, ok, he had permission to use it. that's called sampling it. it still sucks.

  • @XXn1927

Ummm.... I'm not pointing you out. But an artist doesn't need permission to play his own stuff. Jimmy Page actually played on that track. He was in the video at least, not sure if it was sampled or Jimmy laid it down.

  • @XXn1927 BTW this video is stupid. I am guessing your not a musician. Do you have any idea how much music is actually origional? Probably only about 50-75%. Even Elvis' manager would send him a list of songs he thinks Elvis should cover. "Learn these songs and come in next month to record".

Even Nirvana covered a song written by Ledbelly written in the 30s or 40s..... who also wrote "House of the Rising Sun"

  • @TheBitzel What paint and brushes are to art instruments are to music, what drawing is to art playing the instrument is to music, what the picture via the product of technical skill and imagination is to art the song is to music, what copy and paste or tracing.is to art sampling is to music. Sampling is equivalent to digital collage. Without the music of others to leach off of samplers have nothing its like recycling, without anything to recycle you have nothing. Sampling is pathetic.

  • cheek of that bitch robbing straigh to hell by the clash!

  • OH GOD, I thought Kashmir was sacred. I knew that they STOLE alot for their first album but not later on....

  • You sure Kid Rock wasn't just covering Sweet Home Alabama or paying homage to it?

  • no man he wrote this song about his days in the past when he was vacationing and he and his friends would listen to that song all summer long, hence the name of the song. but he does tour with skynyrd and he does play that song. but he did steal warren zevon's werewolves of london

  • also american badass is sad but true by metallica!

  • @XXn1927: Kid Rock had full license rights for both songs used in "All Summer Long". As did many, while not all, of the other artists listed here as stolen tracks. You should check your facts before accusing artists of stealing tracks. The only one that is definitely stolen was Vanilla Ice's use of the beat in "Ice Ice Baby" from Queen's "Under Pressure"
