  • Cameron is high !!! Sasha snores it !!! Joseph had a bad trip !!! :)))

  • I love the fact you named a tiger shere kahn ^-^

  • when you are near the cages, do they ever reach through and touch you? when my cat wants something, or is trying to get my attention she'll reach out and touch me, and with how comfortable they seem with you close i was curious whether they ever did that with the staff there.

  • @iamsiaho Some cats try! But we have a strict no contact policy so we have to be very aware of where we are and what we're doing at all times.

  • Those big beautiful powerful paws

  • OMG whooda thunkit? Was that Joseph, the lion? Anyway, what a happy cat - but he looked like a stoner! Too cute. Great job of enrichment. I'm sure you've tried tobasco sauce, curry and other of the stronger spices . . .

  • Who else wants to see them do the cinnamon challenge?

  • They totally see why kids love the taste of cinnamon toast crunch.

  • I HAS A CINAMON.

  • So catnip against tigers, and cinnamon against lions?

  • The lions took the cinnamon challenge like a boss!

  • What do tigers dream of, when they are taking a little tiger snooze?

  • Where was this?

  • Cinnamon:A new TigerNip

  • 3:31 looks like my pug with it's tongue out :P

  • Weird, it's like they get high on cinnamon... like with catnip... didn't know it could do that :o

  • such beautiful, beautiful creatures.... i love watching any videos about your big cats. i'd love to be able to work with them... i know you need special training, but that's always been a big dream for me.

  • it would seem if a cat likes the smell of something they roll on it to catch its scent.

  • lion drugs :O

  • I think sasha's allergic

  • I'm sure they were ready to club some face after that experience.

  • Alan was wrong...

  • @HOaliyartMO Hahahahahah!!

  • 1:41 so beatiful tiger!

  • Who has a bigger mane Cameron or Joseph?

  • @spycher127 Definitely Cameron :)

  • @BigCatRescue Has this been sent to Tosh.O since he made the challenge? :?

  • @NodDisciple1 No, go ahead it would be great exposure for us!

  • @BigCatRescue

    Cameron is older than Joseph?

  • @SuperCookieRaider Nope, Joseph is a couple of years older than Cameron :)

  • Ah Cameron is so awesome! He acted like my grandma's dog when he eats food.

  • @0:47 its like catnip!

  • aww bless you kitty!

  • I love watching the Videos of the Lions for Joseph. He is my Favorite, but don't tell the other lions please hahaha

  • That's weird, the lions are acting like a cat on catnip O_o

  • we all gotta die someday...and i hope to be eaten by a tiger when my time comes..just too awesome

  • @mattyblues101 You sure have a strange way of dying, pal.

  • @AdvertChild98 yeah your right..but its much better then cancer

  • Comment removed

  • is shere khan named after the tiger from the jungle book?

  • I smelled cinnamon watching this

  • Omg! I LOVE Cameron! He such a beautiful and funny lion :3

  • Do big cats like big balls of yarn? you should do a video like that cuz i subscribed !!! XD jkjk

  • Precious.

  • im donating as soon as i get paid and as soon as the bank opens.

  • I want to tell you that your video "Q: Do TIGERS like catnip??" isn't available in germany because of the music :(

Maybe you could change it? I want to watch all your videos!

(I also can't make comments, that's why I'm commenting on this video.)

  • 3:30 "Woah, man. WOAH."

  • 2:24 turned out that Sasha was allergic to it lmao

  • Do big cats like chocolate?

  • big cats having an orgasm

  • That looks like an stimulant for them. I like when they was rolling around in it.

  • 1:51 epileptic cinnamon!

  • 1:53 orgasmic cinnamon! lol!

  • Does all of the cats in there are fixed to stop from producing a cub?

  • @JacobLoves12 Yeah they are. Most of them are not good candidates for breeding stock as their pedigrees are unknown and some are even inbred and BCR wouldn't want to pollute the wild stock with inferior breeding patterns. They did have a family of sand cats that were left intact because their family line could be traced back to wild parentage.

  • How do you get into this type of career?? You are so lucky to be involved with these beautiful animals

  • @rubythepup123 Yep! The lons love it the most so, they get cinnamon A LOT! :)

  • I don't know about you guys, but I don't much like straight cinnamon either XD

  • Truly amazing animals.

  • It's interesting that Joseph likes cinnamon but not catnip. Wonder why?

  • If you had Cheetahs there would you build them a big nice running space where they can chase the bait.

  • Oh dear, the top comments are exactly the same, but sent to different people... I am indifferent towards that happening.

  • So tigers and lions get along

  • @Stephendurant If they're raised together from a young age

  • @BigCatRescue Which one is the dominant?

  • @accord03 It depends on the cats

  • @Stephendurant And sometimes you get an occasional Tigon or Liger.

  • Big cats are COOL!!!

  • BCR cats smell AWESOME. :D

  • It's very cute :)

and it was a GREAT inspiration for my novel!

  • do you ever pet them?

  • @skippylexi No, we don't have any contact with our cats, it's simply too dangerous and if we did have contact it would reinforce the insane idea that these cats can make good "pets" which they do not...

  • @BigCatRescue so you've never put your hand through the cage when it wasn't looking to touch it for a quick second. i mean what if it's back was turned. couldnt u stick ur finger through and touch it.

  • @skippylexi Nope, anyone who does this is instantly dismissed form our volunteer program and I know how fast these cats are, even if I could i wouldn't.

  • @BigCatRescue oh but what happens if you have to move them from one area to another? do you sydate them first

  • @skippylexi No we can easily move the cats without resorting to sedation. All of our enclosures are built with two or more section with a sliding door in the middles. So we can simply bring a food bucket and treats call the cat over to the side we want them in while another keeper closes the door :) No stress or drugs required and the cats get a food treat, everyone wins! :)

  • @BigCatRescue well thanks i appreciate you answereing the many questions i have. i hope i'm not annoying you :) .

  • @skippylexi Nope, that's what I'm here for, thanks for watching our videos :)

  • @BigCatRescue no problem keep em coming. living up here in canada i've visited florida a few times. it's a really nice state keep up the good work. and keep the videos coming :)

  • @BigCatRescue have you ever had to go call the fire department to get a cat from a tree? just kidding im supporting youall the way but have you ever had to help one of the cats come down from some where

  • @craplejuice555 No, they're big cats they can take care of themselves :)

  • It looks like those big cats are drunk after drinking alcohol, except it's cinnamon powder.

  • the only people food my mom's ugly persian will eat is cheeto's, she wont touch anything else, even chicken and tuna!

  • Is it just me or does it seem that Joesph has that i rule this place *roar* attitude

  • 2:29 oh shit!! lol

  • I'm going to have to find out if my little big cat (don't worry, he's a Siamese) likes cinnamon or not. I already know he like just about anything with cayanne pepper in it.

  • Damn, I didn't know you could put male lions and tigers like that in the same enclosure... did they know each other when they were young?

  • @Krowsnose Yes, we believe they were raised together at the roadside zoo we rescued them from, in the hopes of breeding a liger? We don't breed at BCR so both cats were fixed to prevent them from doing so, they live well together so we built a huge enclosure for them to share :)

  • this is great for finding out what scents stimulate what cats and then can be used in your enrichment programs like the easter eggs!

  • alex is a cute tiger

  • aha Joesph is picky correct? because it seems all cats must like catnip but cinnamon?!?!?! lol

  • They're too cute. Can people volunteer to be a part of big cats rescue?

  • @baller24715 Yes, if you visit: BigCatRescue*org you can find all the info you need about volunteering at the sanctuary :)

  • Joseph did not like catnip but likes cinnamon.

  • that was funny

  • Cheese! Cameron just pushed Zabu out of the way so he could get the cinnamon! LOL

  • I think it's funny how they sneeze and immediately go back for more! ;) too cute!

  • @BigCatRescue you should have gave them actual whole cinnamon sticks not the powder cause they wind up breathe it in when they go to smell it and I don't think that would feel to good..let's ask Steve O. He's probably already snorted his share and if he hasn't then maybe he'll do it as a benefit..yea give them whole cinnamon

  • @MrJonesgg But they would then consume a large amount of cinnamon instead of being able to rub on the loose cinnamon on the ground which is what they enjoy to do with new scents because they have scent glands in their cheeks :)

  • Thanks, enjoyed learning this fun fact.

  • i love white tigers. they are SO beautiful. Its a shame how they were created the way they are. Is it true that the breeding of white tigers is the reason the tiger species is endangered?

  • @hishippiegirl White tigers are bred in captivity this does not effect the population of wild tigers, but in many cases tigers bred in what we call backyard breeding facilities to kill the tigers for their body parts do effect wild populations of tigers. This increases the demand for tiger body parts to be used in medicines etc... which gives poachers more incentive to go and kill wild tigers :(

  • Exactly from the hangover Allen peppers the tigers steak & says tigers love pepper they hate cinnamon HAHA

  • zabu and cameron are my favourite i love zabu very hyper and adorable

  • why are you testing a lion? It's a tiger dude.

  • Did u test if they like pepper? Lol

  • @katita210 Nope, I've got a feeling they wouldn't be fans, but we could try it in the future, they may love it! ??

  • Sasha is beautiful!

  • This is so interesting, It seems different breeds of cats are affected differently by the Cinnamon. That pretty cool. I figured they would all react the same way.

  • you are doing wonderful work and the cats are gorgeous.

  • The lioness seemed to be... snorting the cinnamon?

  • LMAO This is from "The Hangover." Search "TIGERS LOVE PEPPER." Allen goes "Tigers love pepper, they hate cinnamon." Thumb this up so people get the reference.

  • @ModelOrange Everyone is so serious about video...I clicked on it because of The Hangover...!!! :D

  • They all roll around in slow motion like DAMNNNNN I'M SOOOO HIGHHHHH

  • what is that white tiger called?

  • @masterchiefb11 Zabu :)

  • @BigCatRescue thats a cool name thanks for the info.

  • @BigCatRescue zabu is too cute

  • cocaine for big cats

  • Why are the lions and tigers rolling over after eating the cinnamon?

  • @Famfriass They have scent glands in their cheeks so they roll and rub on things to smell them and they love it so much they roll around :)

  • @BigCatRescue Uh...never heard of that before. Couldn't they just smell with they're nose if that's the case?

  • I love how the Tigers hav the same reaction to the spice as catnip but Tigers dont care for it? I wonder what Ligers would do? lol <3

Love the video!!! beautiful Cats! :D

  • @soledmt We already knew that the cats enjoyed cinnamon, they enjoy all different kinds of scents and spices we give to them for enrichment to stimulate their senses. This isn't cruel this is what big cats love!

  • @BigCatRescue I had experienced with wild cats in South Amercica. For sure this scents and spices stimulate senses, but they are senses that wild animals are not used to sense the way the video shows, therefore, the eyes cold suffer instant irritation and disturbing reactions. This could be proved because wild animals has evolved senses used to survive in wildness.

  • @BigCatRescue Cinammon is an escence wild animals can find in wildness , and thats why they like it powder could irritate them. Plus, you are stimulating senses that wild cats enjoy in their FREEDOM, they use these senses to explore lands and leave their smell to mark territory and leave messages between other wildcats. It seems cruel to me. Videos posted shows what the context wants to show, u must educate ppl

Btw, i apologize for the (jerks) comment i made before, it was out of line.

  • So Alan(Zach Galifianakis) from the hangover was wrong... "Tigers love pepper, they hate cinnamon." well what else should i expect from a fictions movie...

  • @k2kenzie you are really quite rigid. let loose

  • @redtonic We already knew that the cats enjoyed cinnamon, they enjoy all different kinds of scents and spices we give to them for enrichment to stimulate their senses. This isn't cruel this is what big cats love!

  • @BigCatRescue How old is Alex and cameron?

  • @Twinkle13Babii Cameron = DOB 10/1/00, Alex is around 15 years old :)

  • They almost seem to get intoxicated from it like catnip.

  • lol cameron stole zabu cinnamon

  • If kaa lets shere khan out youre all screwed

  • I volunteer at a local zoo and the big cat keepers told me that sometimes they give old pizza boxes (minus the pizza and any hanging cheese etc) to the cats as enrichment. Do you guys ever do that?

  • @AnnePackrat Interesting idea, we will discuss and maybe try it with our cats? Thanks!

  • Lolol Joseph, couldnt care less for catnip, but look at you go for cinnamon!

And Cameron is a very handsome lion. Really glad you brought him back to his glorious look than when he was stuck at that circus =)

  • The tiger in the beginning's face is like "I am not amused."

  • The first two tigers seemed to enjoy the cinnamon!

What if you gave them cinnamon sticks -- I wonder if they'd chew it or simply rub on it -- might be less 'sneezy' for them!

  • @katmatally We wouldn't use sticks, they could splinter and get stuck in their gums/mouth etc... Also ingesting a large amount like that wouldn't be a nice experience for them :)

  • @BigCatRescue Thanks for telling me! A lot of us don't think of things like that when we are giving our own domestic companions treats (though I do, because my cats are small! I never give them anything harder than gristle.)

  • @BigCatRescue Thanks for telling me! A lot of us don't think of things like that when we are giving our own domestic companions treats (though I do, because my cats are small! I never give them anything harder than gristle.) Alex, Sasha, Cameron and Joseph seem to dig it like catnip! :-)

  • Cinnamon...the new Cologne for the big boys.

  • my cats do the samething if i kill an ant in the house. Something about the pharamones it gives off. They love ants.

  • Why can't someone breed a tiger with a house cat so it's smaller with tiger fur and then a house cat with that spawn.

  • Lions don't care for catnip but they like cinnamon? Very interesting. There's something important in that fact somehow.

  • Why do they roll in it? So adorable :O)

  • I love Tigers.

  • @zakartaz

i worship the tigers but that african lion = JOSEPH is always in bad mood

  • the lion at the end was funny, he's all blissed out

  • Hahaha this is great, Zack Galifanakis was right lol, but do the like pepper?

  • This is just hilarious! That was my favorite quote from The Hangover "tigers like pepper, they hate cinnamon", thanx for uploading this video :) made me laugh

  • :D They are so cute!

  • this would be the perfect wuzzup thingi

  • lol

  • Zabu didn't want the cinnamon until Cameron came around LOL

  • Damn. Lions are really the Kings... What a majestic animal. They all are, but lions kinda stand out, don't they?

  • You shoul do a "do big cats like fish" vid. Everyone seems to say domestic cats like fish, but what about big cats?

  • Cam and Sasha had adorable reactions. And bless you, Sasha :3

  • Did you guys do this because of the movie The Hangover?

  • Zabu is the prettiest tiger in there lolz :)

  • Thanks for the work you do. Yes, get them away from people who have no business owning great cats.

Interesting: the lions don't go for catnip, but they seem to be more interested in cinnamon than the other species.

  • What is cinnamon? o.O

  • @SoulDragonit: Kaneel (I Googled it, as I don't know Dutch)

  • Cameron simply loves it !

  • Q: do tigers bite?

  • @img0ingin ok seriously what a dumb ass question OF COURSE THEY BLOODY BITE IDIOT

  • @KiwiAng3l Q: what about lions?

  • That spice can cause seizures or even death in dogs, I am flummoxed as to why you would give it to a big cat.

  • @Dehzee These are big cats, so they can probably handle a little at a time. Also, the cinnamon may be a specific brand. Why not email BCR and ask?
