I think he seems like he will be more flexible in terms of foreign policy;in that he is more willing to negotiate "without preconditions". Also, even though he isn't an economist, he's taking advice from some of the best and is in favor of more regulations on oil companies. He also seems to be more invested than McCain in finding alternative fuel sources..which I think is a better method for weening ourselves off of foreign oil than increased drilling. I have more if you want to hear 'em.

Ok first of all, when he does meet without preconditions, it's going to be bad, we can't meet with some of the world's worst terrorists without them. Pre-conditions means to make it safe for all the countries involved. 2nd, Obama wants to STOP OFF SHORE DRILLING, which is a harder way to find alternative fuel.he wants to make the war and our relationship with the middle east worse. That's one of McCains main platforms(finding alternative fuel) And i dont' think Bill Ayers is considered the best.

first of all McCain's offshore drilling pertains to OIL which is not an alternative energy source. Secondly...the whole preconditions thing does NOT just apply to terrorists...for the most part he is talking about leaders of foreign countries that we may not agree with. Obama was 8 when Ayres committed acts of terrorism...the fact that the Republican platfrom can't drop that bone is simply pathetic...McCain's not the worst, but he sure chooses the worst to run his campaign. Oh and there's Palin.

When McCain question one of his campaign aids in a rally she said that she didn't want an Arab to be president. Please, McCain's associated with more racists than you could count. the point was to make him look presidential, duh! if you have something you want people to hear or someone you want them to see you have to get people there if the name alone won't do it. i doubt beer & bands were the only draw as you suggest, but all politicians in the US use celebrities to get people to take notice. mccain just has a hard time finding any good ones, except of course the terminator. and arnie IS a celebrity turned politician. so was reagan. both republicans.
