  • I didn't know a car traveling that fast on land could be so silent

  • Yes GPS is used on all types of newer aircraft, and systems are retrofitted onto old planes. Most GPS systems like the Nuvi's only receive signals and do not transmit any signal at all, therefor they do not interfere with any equipment on the aircraft.

That being said, if your flight attendant tells you to put it away... and you refuse, don't be surprised if you are detained upon landing. Flight attendants generally are over-stressed, over-worked, and underpaid.

  • can this be used on a bicycle? or will it send you on the highway at times?

  • 511 mph! DUDE u were BOOKIN'!

  • eu sempre pensei em fazer isso kkkkkk

  • when i put my garmin on charge its display maps disappear and screensaver come up. i try already to change display properties but it didnt work. any 1 know how to fix it. help me

  • that's awesome!

  • lol bugatti x2

  • Boy that car is rolling lol

  • Lol.. driving north, it should say flying north!

  • Roads? Where we're going we don't need...roads.

  • Thats going to be a speeding ticket! =P

  • Yes. Most commercial planes are fitted with GPS these days for assistance, though not usually used for navigation...about 470 knots..about cruise speed for a lot of airliners

  • Many pilots would disagree with you. GPS is commonly used for navigation in medium sized jets and in long range autopilot flights

  • were you flying to grand rapids?

    or northern michigan?

    and where from?

    obviously headed north over indiana/illinois.

  • lmao this is great. a flying car =D

  • that's pretty impressive. gps has come a long way (:

    oh, and yea, LOL

  • Yeah, i remember when my dad was little, he had this GPS he used for his boat, it didnt show color, and only had black lines on a blank screen to indicate sailing waypoint, or for vehicle, roads.

  • lol

  • I do think gps can be dangerous for safety of the aircraft.Gps could disturb navigation tools.

    be carefull next time

  • dumbass, no it cannot. GPS is only recieving signals that are already in the air.

  • yeah...already in the air.

  • Hey sick-psyco-sex-needed-borderliner: read some before writing craps like that ok?

  • dumbass theirs a gps on the plane

  • hey retard, he took it on the plane for fun...

  • my gps knows when it's at 30K feet and doesn't work on a plane. i already tried it =(

  • hey holly!!

    xxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • wonder if the pilot is using that or a tom tom?

  • It would be even funnier when you suddenly hear a voice saying "Destination arrived" and the speedometer showing ZERO. Hoho...

  • LOL...

  • sick man sick

  • Think about it had the passengers of hijacked airliners on 9/11 had one they could tell the FBI exactly where they were and where they were headed. When the terrorists said we are heading back to the airport thy would have known that was bs almost instantly. Its cool to see exactly where you are during a flight and your airspeed. There is a setting where you can tell your altitude too.

  • you do realise what air traffic control does rite?

  • This hilarious! And also such a cool idea! I gotta remember to do that with my new Garmin Nuvi 660 the next time I'm on a plane. :D

  • darn! u guys are good.

  • Haha never thought of that. Really funny. That´s a quite fast car.

  • thats some clever sht. good vid.

  • if youre willing to pay the extra hundred and fifty bucks you can get a nuvi 750 on amazon. crazy accurate with multipoint and widescreen

  • I got my nuvi 350 about 3 hours ago. This is an incredible GPS for it's price. I even bought a refurbished one from Garmin for 250 bucks and its perfect.

  • what else is cool I did that with my Nuvi when I flew and the roads do match up when you look out the window as to what it shows on the map so they are very accurate

  • I wish My car could go that fast

  • Wow I did that too! Around the same date also. I was going about 567 mph.

  • That car is mooving soo fast :P

  • Was this on a 747?

  • The Plane was Airbus A319

  • holy sh**! lol Thanks for the quick reply! How do you like that GPS anyways? I just ordered it!

  • Love the GPS had it for over a year , easy to use, you will like it.
