  • Excellent video, thank you.

  • still the advice is sound for paddling a better kayak. The bit about the diving blade angle was actually pretty well done. I'm a kayak guide and instructor registered with the ACA and BCU.

    dumbass yourself!

  • woooh i just liked an expert village im a newby to kayaking so i was all like ohhj ya if i dug it in deeper id go faster

  • EXTREME KAYAKKING!!!1111!!!!!!11!1!1!1!

  • you are .a joke. I bought an 8 foot kayak and paddle and went kayaking. i would have to make an effort to turn it over and as you say ( go swimming). the problem with expert village is anyone can claim to be an expert, It is said it take a village to raise a a child. not a village of expert village idiots

  • @amtanner560 he isn't talking about $200 widemouth recreational kayaks, he's talking about longer leaner more expensive performance oriented kayaks. research what you opine on, or risk looking dumb.

  • @kayakalert no hes not you dumbass. In the demonstration in the end, he is paddling a "widemouth" kayak which is recreational, and not a performance kayak.

  • @mimi0674 There is some good hockey tips too. Worst video I seen in here was stratego board game tips lol.

  • That was great! Thank you!

  • Wish i had this vid before i tried kayaking LOL! can i just say it is really hard to get back in the boat once u have fallen out ;) great arm workout though

  • LOL this is so freaking funny...

  • Umm.. Common sense?

  • Agreed... great for casual paddler and short distance... try that after 8 miles and you'll be sorry... if you are new to kayaking... try learning the proper technique that includes torso rotation techniques and learn how to set your paddle to the right degree for your personal style.

  • @greatsalamander

Do you have any video suggestions that will teach those techniques? I'm a newbie and would appreciate any info. Thanks.

  • Yeahh this is good for noobies but its not teaching anything about torso rotation and better efficiency in the long run.

  • Good advice. Now have a look at the first time my son entered the water and see how he went on. My son has Down's syndrome

  • I choose to use shorter paddles

  • I'm not a fan of the fishing rod thing...yes it will make you more stable, but it is teaching you a bad technique.

  • brilliant. love the 'invisible fishing rod' trick.
