thing with BÖC and other bands from the true era of music is that they GIVE SO MUCH!!
1 song can include so much diffrent small perfection a band today would use it to make 11 albums (but they never come up with such unbeleivable proffesionalism of songmaking)
01-01-2012; Unkle Buck & Unkle Eric have an astounding capacity to continue to rock my blind & crippled ass.Potentially some of the craftiest lead-guitar work I ever recall being exposed to,in your life.Wish I were there crumplin' that mighty steel-I play guitars ,too.Forever awaiting the empowerment of listening to your groups' next anticipated studio-time initiative, keepin' it between the ditches here near YouTube!-Seclusionos.
@gps1701 MIB has always been a generic name for government agents by the conspiracy kooks. The movie got its name from the tinfoil-hat wearers, not the other way around.
you guys are right...this song and the whole album got overlooked.....radio stations are an odd bunch...they ignore so much good music. However it doesn't matter anymore, because with all of today's technology everyone is there own DJ.
HOW is BOC not a front-page band? Seriously, they have more quality songs in one album than a majority of other bands do in their entire repertoire. It's almost as mind-boggling as Buck's solo...lemme get back to it
@anonymousmysterygirl The best line: "My dream may be ...your nightmare". This is a brilliant song overlooked by many, I reckon. They just never heard of BOC...
@zxzas479 because people are sheep who'd rather listen to queen over and over or that bitch lady gaga or should i say lady man man i like queen my self but there's so many bands like this that never get any radio play there is good bands going today that know one knows of because real music doesn't get paid any attention to anymore
Awesome tour the year of this release. I saw them at the Sacramento Memorial Auditorium during that tour. They f''ned rocked! The stage set up was some kind of flying saucer under the drum riser that floated the band up during this song. It was played regularly on radio here in Sacramento, Ca.
@M1st4T What about I Love the Night, Searching for Celine, Astronomy, Workshop of the Telescopes, She's as Beautiful as a Foot, Screams, Harvester of Eyes, The Red and The Black, Dominance and Submission....I could go on till I listed EVERY BOC Song...Lets just say they ALL KICK ASS!!!....Am I Right?...BOC RULES!...I think it would be very diffiCULT to pick a favorite BOC song...Just Saying...
@1RONSTER714 according to me youre so right..i can sit and think "godamn this song is so great" ..but it happens with every song almost, /diffiCULT ;)
@AngryPostmanSthlm2 So True My brother CULTist...SO TRUE!...One day last summer I was on the way to the farm to feed the horses and had two of my greatnieces in the backseat of the truck and overheard them singing along to "Astronomy"...Their Mom (also a niece) was like "What the.." I said "They know great music even at that age..lol"...They said those days at the farm with Uncle Ronnie were the 'Best Ever'...Good times and good music!...BOC RULES!...Later my friend!...
@1RONSTER714 thx for reply, that was funny ;) í know exactly what u mean..it feels theres hope! btw..cute happening. when i notice a youngster showing intrest for true music i encurage them
@AngryPostmanSthlm2 I too try to tell all my younger friends about all the great music they missed out on...I had to make my niece a cd of BOC songs and some other old stuff so they could listen to it like the day going to the farm....Great music and fun times...I can't stop wanting to relive them...lol...later...
@Airmaster167 go to blue oyster cult . com (close the spaces), then go to studio, then albums & cds . Click on the Revolution By Night album cover, then Take Me Away to read the lyrics.
If you want to use Google, add Blue Oyster Cult in your search.
Music like this never gets on the radio because the kids in the 80's who loved to listen to Boy George are the idiots who wear neck ties today and make the decisions as to what get played on the radio stations. The Reaper seems to be the only song they know about.
@dshaffer1000 Damn, That's the only BOC song my local station plays too. I used to call and request others but they said they weren't in their "programming"...I said I'm not listening anymore. Alot of friends don't either. I put all my BOC cds in iTunes on my computer and loaded up the ipod...Mainstream radio sucks!...Thank god for internet radio and youtube!...
@dshaffer1000 That is so f'n true....makes me sick we can't hear this and other killer BOC songs on the radio...so much so I put all my favs on my iPod and never leave home without it...lol...They know what 'they' can do with 'their' corporate radio BS....I not listening anymore...lol...
wow thanks for posting this song,, its a blast from the past for me ,bought the cassette bk in the 80`s ,was rockin it w/friends & w/henry winehearts private reseve and some skunk i was 16 than now im 43 ,,, ..ya im still rockin peace out hippie

sweet! ive been a fan for 20 plus years . never get tired of them. so many layers to the music and lyrics. now everything rock on the radio sounds like creed.
The 4th song in the chronological order of the Imaginos saga. This is when Imaginos is left to die on a beach and the Blue Oyster Cult, basically aliens but also somehow related to the gods worshipped by Native American civilizations before Cortez, offer to save his life if he will become their minion on earth. Imaginos has no choice but to agree and it is because of this that he carries out his negative influences on the history of mankind.
This is an amazing song. I daydream that I'm doing intense rock climbing when I hear this. The solo is energy packed, and the music break after is excellent. The power chords meld with the chorus perfectly, and show the drive and energy this band surely had at the time, and the fact that they're still doing shows is evidence that the energy has not left. One of my favorite bands, and I'm 21. I love a lot of classic stuff. Older people say my tastes don't fit my age. Well, screw that, I love it!!
@defnist47 60's-80's, that's awesome!! I commend your interests. :) Very cool. It was some of the best music created, really. Partly, I think, because of the drug wave going on during those years, but it really did produce some amazing artists, and legendary hits.
Drove 2 hours in a snowstorm to see this, my first ever concert experience, BOC & Rainbow, at the old McNichols arena in Denver. BOC was 3 hours late due to the weather so Rainbow filled the time with Christmas tunes and Blackmore jams. (Thanks, Ritchie!) When BOC finally showed up they played a full set and were great, as always.
This has to be, without question, one of the coolest songs ever made, period.....When you have the radio cranked in your car late at night, and it suddenly comes on, that opening riff just knocks you on your ass.......CLASSIC.
@zxzas479 it is because everyone does not know about all the old rock now it is all the rap and basically it sad that rock like this dies out because this was the music
if in the US you have the rap, you might consider yourself pretty lucky... here in europe it's the crappy pop-rock-like bands that make it to the top.... shame on us
I could be wrong but I believe that is Aldo Nova guesting on this track - he is credited as one of the songwriters - Buck almost NEVER uses a whammy bar - certainly not to this extent. Nonetheless - an excellent tune!
