@SaberScorpion its actually a wolf spider, but I agree the olny reason this spider had to die was because it crossed the wrong path...very sad. As an entomologist it is hard to see people kill spiders but then again when in my lab I have had to execute a few bugs myself...never down the toilet tho!

@TheArachnogirl The spider in this video is a jumping spider. This jumping spider is what's known as Platycryptus Undatus, and it's a female. I have two with me right now. The wolf spider is in a different class of spiders. One characteristic that stands out on a jumping spider is the 2 big eyes they have. They have binocular vision that is decently close to how humans see. The backwards movement also gives it away that it's a jumping spider. Jumpers are the only spiders that move like that.

There's like 3000 to 5000 some odd species of jumping spiders, and most of them only have the latin name for them in the info I found. I happen to have a male and female of the spider that is in this video. Just a few that I can give the latin names, mainly because I have or have had a spider of that species. I film spiders, but mainly jumping spiders.
