Mormons are NOT Christians. Do we call them Christians? No, we call them Mormons. Christians are followers of Christ and his teachings, the mormons may say they follow Christ's teachings, but they also have a bunch of other teachings that they follow (Joseph Smith and Young's).

We have already established that Mormon's call themselves Christians. That's really not the issue. The issue is that if you look at the teachings in their book, they are not consistent with the teachings of the bible.

The Mormon concept of God is different than the Christian concept of God. The Mormon doctrine on the Trinity is completely different than the Christian version. I'm not Mormon or Christian so I have no bone in this fight. But, I was brought up Baptist and have spent over a decade in Utah. Mormons are NOT Christians. Their doctrines are too far apart. The Mormon concept of God is different than the Christian concept of God. The Mormon doctrine on the Trinity is completely different than the Christian version. The doctrines on Jesus is also different. In the Mormon tradition God incarnate had physical sex with Mary. Jesus death did not atone sins.

Lol at people having no idea what a Christian is saying Mormon's are Christian. Christianity is believing that God is the Holy Spirit, and God is Jesus, not just son of God, but Jesus is God. Jesus died on the cross for our sins and those that believe in him and accept him into their heart will have eternal life. The keyword in Christian is Christ. Mormons, 7th Day Adventists, Jehovah's Witnesses and Scientology do not believe in these fundamentals and they are not Christians, they are cults.

Neither the catholic church, nor the eastern orthodox churches nor any of the protestant denominations consider Mormons to be Christians. The blondie just said what the average Christian would say. And to be fair Mormon theology is clearly not Christian at all.

Do you understand anything about popular notion and its dangers? Do you understand that I know 100s of members who are some of the best moms and dads and contributes to society who are in the church, not a cult. Stop looking at pretenses and more at actions.
