  • How did the tires roll up the ramp?

  • Comment removed

  • asfs

  • Love kinetics.. Perhaps the Kinetic King of AGT can pull somehting like this off..

  • Its even better the second and third time that you view this classic video

A stairway to heaven quality level video

  • "Oops! I forgot to take the lens cap off! Set it back up!"

  • Fuck, that is definitely CGI, every single motion is absolutely perfect, and the physics of it just don't seem to match reality. I don't doubt some may be real, but the gears for example, at the beginning don't look real. Neither does the 3 tires hitting one another. The 3rd tire would NOT receive that much force on an UPWARDS plane like that.

I wouldn't care if YouTube hadn't have made the claim that "It's not GCI"

    -Doug

  • damn fake

  • would be cool if it was not fake

  • fake as fuck

  • 2:01 to skip ads

  • I hope the economic collapse will make all commercial companies go bankruptcy

  • 2:01 to skip the cool ad

  • Isn't it nice, when your Honda Accord V6 B7XA transmission fails at 67,000 miles...

  • Why the hell isn't Ad Blocker Plus blocking this!

  • @ohwhatnow51 LOL

  • very, very stunning, five thumbs up for that for ad!

  • just amazing!!^^

  • OK...if this really was made and not computed.. imma buy a honda.

  • Who Looks Up AD's on YouTube?? You complain theres ads on TV, on youtube vids, and everywhere you walk...and theres 1.8m views for ads?

  • Stop acting like you are the Father of Physics... cz its Real!

  • oh wait what? i wasnt looking... lol

  • 2:02 to skip ads

  • 0:26 zero gravity haha fail!!

  • @TheMagicman237

    fuck

  • What a long room.

  • ...6 years later....

Yes, it's totally real. That's been pretty inarguably confirmed at this point...

If you also believe Obama's birth certificate is a forgery, or that a missile hit the Pentagon, then let's keep it hush-hush... WE have the inside info, and know the President was born in Pakistan and that this, along with everything else people photograph or video, is totally fake. Don't tell anyone who doesn't know the handshake. Just post it in every forum on the web.

  • 2:01 skip ads

  • crazy

  • It's nice when things work. But some of the tricks shown in this video would never work in real life, and this is why they are made with video editing soft

  • @thealphazoid This is actually real though. I know the craziest part is the tire part, but I just finished watching a show on TV about viral videos. They said that the tire part was easy to pull of. All they did was use weights in specific parts of the tire in order to allow it to behave the way they wanted it to.

  • @mamisolida yeah weights within tires might work, but I still don't believe it was made for real

  • This is the first car ad that i actually like! That is awesome!

  • wow thats crazy

  • sighn up nd yea ya money grow nd u really get paid i juss made 1 earlyer try it itz worth a shot...look at the video nd see if itz wat u like den sighn up itz kinda fun...to me Lol

  • Chuck Norris.

  • But, who start to roll that bearing?

  • Im sorry but how big is that fucking room

    ?

  • Staged and bi-curious!!!!!!!!!

  • Hi guys... How does a person download a video?

  • @Andre144100 With Real Player downloader

  • OMG I like totally love this ad. Other ads are always so...I don't know...just different.

  • how boring bullshit !

  • @322kurt 'Boring bullshit'?

If it's so boring, then watch your porn collection, dude...

  • Amazing!! I love the wiper part. Is this real one or CG??

  • Toyota Refuses to fix Toyota Camry SE 2011 power steering pump whinning. Vondalette White at Toyota Customer Experience at corporate told me to go ahead and post vidio's it won't hurt toyota sales. so look at them.

Toyotacameryse is my you tube id

  • they cheat a bit ;p

  • @ProViceRS Yes you are quite right Honda do cheat a bit but its not intended to be taking that literally. Still a good ad tho i think.

  • My truck was made with wrenches NOT chopsticks. ha ha ha

  • i love this ad, love how everything is like the domino's.

  • @mettalx1 and the adblock plus killed ads! ;)

  • @mettalx1 adblock killed the ads

  • Dear god, why does honda make the most amazing ads ever? Sincerely,Angel3602008.

  • Wowww Great!!

  • Imo the other british voice-over is a much better fit for this.

  • japanci majku vam jebem kad vam ni nuklearka ne moze nista

  • the tires defy the laws of physics

  • @FREEZINGmittens ----rims were weighted, on the high side , gravity did the rest,

  • why don't youtube put these cool ads instead of toyota shit !

  • powered by vtec

  • that is sick

  • OF COURSE THERES AN AD BEFORE THE AD

  • ....No one can understand how much i enjoy this commercial.

"Liking" it does even begin to describe it.

  • Honda power!!

  • これCM?

    これでこの車欲しくなる人ってどのくらい

    いるんだ?

  • A lot of takes and a lot of resetting to make it work, for certain. Hehehehehe.

And they I believe had merge footage from two shots to get it.

Anyway, thinking back to the Mythbusters Christmas special where they did a /smaller/ version of this, the number of takes to get even two mergable clips is nothing short of incredible. :)

  • you know honda didn't make this comercial because it wouldn't have even started

  • shame it's a honda

  • that wouldnt work a 2nd time

  • the most kooolest video ever Nice work;-)

  • show de bola:)

  • nice!!!

  • it's amazing that no CGI was used

apparently it took 606 takes to get it right

  • i had to watch a ad before this one, it was the same one!

  • man that accord wagon looks cool

  • final song's name?

  • @Aldylan93

    Rapper's Delight - Sugerhill Gang.

  • never gets old

  • A bit anti-climactic. Yawn...

  • impossable, if you look the tires keep goign up, its not possable unless they were being helped

  • @1nothingmater There was a little bit of help, but no CGI. A few bloopers of this section reveal that there were conspicuous bulges on the opposite side of the tire rim. A heavy enough weight can cause the wheel to continue moving even after the initial acceleration (one tire striking another) due to inertia causing additional acceleration from gravity acting on the weight. You can even try this for yourself - just stick a weight on a free wheel, then push it slightly toward a ramp.

  • @1nothingmater they are being helped by the "power of dreams"-honda

  • Охуенно

  • I work for Honda we saw this video in a training class today, there was no cgi or trick photography use here, a group of engineers and tech specialist worked it out and it took over 200 shoots before it worked the way they wanted it to. The camera crew didn't think it was possible, but that's the Honda business model pick an impossible goal and figure out how to make it work.

  • nyc

  • Isn't it nice, when things just...work?

  • if anyone cares, these complex, pointless contraptions are called rube goldberg devices and there are tons of videos of them out there.

  • @spishak7 and then I went and searched for some more of these. thanks!!

  • @spishak7 Thanks a lot! I forgot what these devices were called, and I knew I could be led to the answer if I search the comments section of this famous Honda Ad ;)

  • shut up both of u

  • speechless

  • epic.....

  • guy its not real, look at the window at 1:13 closely. it goes through the wood

  • @runinpoop you can clearly see that it is two pieces of wood. you are the one who needs to look closely

  • @HondaEPHatch if you recreate that, ill say this is real

  • @runinpoop sure if you can get me millions of dollars like honda has. really dude, use your head. you've been living on this planet how long now, and you still dont understand how weight and gravity interact? grow a fucking brain

  • @HondaEPHatch why are you arguing with me, i have my opinions and you have yours. youre the one who should grow a brain

  • @runinpoop no opinions were exchanged, this is you claiming false information to be fact.

  • @HondaEPHatch and this is also the internet

  • @runinpoop no it doesn't, there's a crack in the wood

  • @katieegrooms if there was a crack in the wood, the rolling thing wouldnt roll over it so smoothly

  • @runinpoop yeah it would, it's not like its a ginormous gap, just enough for the window to go down. If you look really closely, you can see it.

  • best car advertisement ..

  • HONDA bESt CAR cOmPaNY EVER!^!^!^!^!^!^

  • AWESOME

  • the ricochet of tires at 0:25 is just impossible. I remember they're saying it was all real. Bullshit

  • @Haraldtubeyou there were weights in the tires

  • @Haraldtubeyou there are weights on the other side of the tire

  • @HondaEPHatch it still seems impossible

  • This is old, but i happened across it and it's pretty cool!!

  • Honda advertisement - Perfection personified

  • lol .. I like it .. :)

  • you guys this IS REAL!

they put weights on the wheels to make them roll up

  • wow!

  • strabiliante

  • it a FAKE!!!!! A wheel rolling UP? .... I do not believe it

  • Comment removed

  • @sorry1991 Yaa du you really fink its real!?

  • wheels dont go up

  • dominoes of the future!

  • Comment removed

  • The guys who spend 7 days a week working on are crying as they read these posts... "IT IS NOT FAKE!"

  • omg.. this gonna be tough calculation

  • Yea my vid teacher told us that as well, somethin like 800 tries or something, can't remember the number.

  • @Rachey666 Six hundred six.

  • hui really need somebody to talk to really bored today

  • Nice but the only thing I don't like is the wheels going uphill, they cannot roll up this way in real life.

  • @corght why not if you push hard enough? :)

  • @sandrinja33 no but it's like if the wheels are attached to a spring that make them go up.

  • this is more clever than tom and jerry xD

  • Its not CGI. It took them like 1000 tries to get it all right,. We saw this in science class because we were learning about compound machines. My teacher said they did this for real!!!

  • @ardiko2002

Perhaps they were trying to resemble that of accelerating?? It's all CGI anyway so yes you are right, but oh well...

  • @Daestos It's still fricken epic. ;)

  • Now that's a long room

  • @fattydelicious It was two rooms. The only CGI shot in the piece was used to integrate the two rooms together.

  • @fattydelicious with a beautiful recurring background

  • Everything made sens to me except the tire part. The tires are speeding up which is IMPOSSIBLE. Tires have the highest speed at the point where they hit the other one in an uphill?! Please, someone can challenge me on this one...

  • @ardiko2002

Challenged you are: Those full-sized tires rolling uphill have a large weight inside,

at 12:00. When the tire is slightly nudged, that weight is slightly displaced

forward, and begins to exert force downward as it is pulled by gravity. As the position

of the weight moves from the 12:00 position to the 3:00 position, the force increases.

It is a simple matter to calculate the mass of the weight to compensate for the

increase in elevation of the ramp, and accelerate too.

  • AWESOMEST car commercial ever seen!!!

  • hat was coooool

  • This would be awesome as hell even if it WAS just computer animation. How they managed to get everything just right is beyond me.

  • 明明三個輪圈是在一個斜板上,怎麼會違反牛頓定律,一直往上跑,怪怪的~~

  • The window mobile creating a small gust was brilliant.

  • all I can say is WOW, don't know much about cars but this demonstration is fantastic

    5/5

    Jackie

  • I would belive this ad if it was'nt for the part 0:25 antigravity.

  • @transistorbaluba and does the car at the end turn and brake by it self?

  • the wheels were balanced with weights so they would go about 1/2 rotation up hill, my physics class tried this and proved it true.

  • yeah and 1:12

  • They have counterweights balanced in the wheels so when they are bumped, the weight which is balanced at the top goes to one side, and it can roll up hill. Use sense.

  • Comment removed

  • weights dumbass... use ur head.

  • OMG That is a really really long room haha thats an AWESOME ad!

  • it is really awesome but if they choose the accord coupe version it will be even more cool!!

  • it was pretty long maybe it was a big hall way of a hotel foya? lol

  • Wow, that's amazing, I love it!! =D

  • I don't think it's real because at 0:25 weels have maybe force to climb the road but not to stay and climb again after colliding!

  • Wheels were filled with helium to reduce their overall mass and had an offset weight on the back side. At 0:30 You can see the middle wheel on the ramp still roll forward after hitting the top wheel, then it rolls backwards as the weight settles at it's lowest point. The only CGI used in this commercial was on the windshield at the end to remove some glare from the lights.

  • @mouthmouse

    ye its pretty weird

  • CGI - they would never spend all that money to do a practical setup that would take many many shots to get right. It had to be perfect.

  • It's real and they did..

  • It's actually kind of refreshing to see people taking such a stand for what they believe- if only we had this much passion in every area of our lives! Imagine what the world would be like...

  • Brilliant!

  • one thing wrong with the video. Why do the wheels of the car turn when the car comes of the ramp

  • How freaking long was that room!
